I am trying to book Sascha!!!!! I just feel in LOVE with his work I hope to hear back from him today to finalize. I am so happy I did my research or boy, would I have been mad. Kathy, your photo are so timeless!!!

Hi Iberostar Tucan/Quetzal Brides, I thought I would start this thread up again. The Iberostar Brides Post Here thread is great however I didn't read much about Tucan/Quetzal in there. I would love to know details about others plans. I am getting married Jan 2010 but am starting to get a little stressed about all the details. I feel like they nickel and dime you for everything and some of their onsite vendors are not very good. I mainly have questions regarding the DJ and reception. This is a very important part of the wedding for my FI and when we started doing research on DW it seemed like it wouldn't be a problem however now I am having mixed feelings. I want to make sure we have a DJ that will do a good job and be there our entire reception. We are planning on having more than 50 guests and want to rent a restaurant for a private party. I was under the impression we would have a DJ from 6:30-10:30 but now the WC is saying the DJ will only be there from 8:30-10:30....anyone else having similar issues? Sorry for the long thread...I am just looking for ideas and assurance on this resort. Thanks!!!!

Do you know if the Cancun Catamarans company will go down to Playa del Carmen? I am looking for a private catamaran for our guests the day before our wedding. I would love to have a 4 hour tour with lunch, open bar and fun music....kind of like a booze cruise excursion.

OMG...this thread has been so helpful. I have heard some bad reviews about the resort photographer today and started stressing about it. I have done some research today and so far MTM is my favorite. I love their story I have emailed them and excited to see what their pricing is. So far, all the other photographers are a little high especially since there is also a fee to bring in an outside vendor. Oh well....pictures are so important to me and they are the only things you have after the fact to explain your wedding story! Thanks for all the great info!

I am doing one per couple and then one per person for my single friends. I think I will know more when people start booking as to who is in what room. Question - did people use the totes/canvas bags or were they a waste. My mom thought that a nice gift bag would work just fine but I don't want them to look silly or super cheap. Any suggestions?

CONGRATS! I am trying to decide where to book. Iberostar Tucan is my top choice but I just feel like I need to do more research. What made you deicide? What other resorts were you looking at?
