Got it! Here are the totes I ordered. They are not beach totes but they are a good quality that if they get wet they will be fine. I ordered the blue ones with each girls first initial on it. They are GREAT size as well.

Those are super cute. I ordered some totes for my BMs from the knot. They came in last week and I love them. I have to figure out how to post pictures.

This thread is great. I am debating on getting travel mugs or koozies. Don't most resorts serve beer in plastic cups? If so, a koozie wouldn't really work, right? Any thoughts?

We got our moms a beach bag with their name on it. We got our dads panama hats for the wedding. Also, I plan on framing our wedding picture. My brother and SIL did this and my parents LOVED it. Everyone is contributing evenly for the wedding so this is just a little extra saying thanks for the support! I actually gave my mom and dad their gifts as our engagement party but we'll give FI's parents theirs via mail since we hardly ever see them.

HA..this is a good question. I never thought of it. I am getting married in 2010 and I put two thousand and ten. Honestly, I doubt people would notice. However I did a google search and couldn't really find anything.

Congrats and Welcome. As for make-up...I went to the Bobbi Brown counter a couple months ago and they did say they had some good make up for humid weather. I am planning on going back in a couple months to do some trial runs and purchase for the wedding.

We sent them out to everyone. We have been shocked by who is coming so it has been fun to see people book. Plus, we are not having an AHR so this is it for us! We are making our invitations so the cost has been minimal.

We got FI's suit at Men's Warehouse. They are having a HUGE sale. He got a nice tan linen suit. We have been watching summer sales for all the GM's outfits. I think we are going to get everything this month. Some of the summer stuff is getting picked over already.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know I would be crushed. Things have a way of working out the way they are supposed to. I am sure everything will be fine. I do think you should sit down and talk with her. Tell her you are willing to help (if you are) in anyway and how important this day is to you. I know my MOH frets about money but I know in my heart she wouldn't miss this day for anything. After you have a chance to calm your emotions...give her a call and talk!

I say use the beach totes and stuff them with tissue paper! That is what I will probably end up doing. I know it might be a waste but I think tissue paper in fun colors always makes gift bags look better!

I think I am going with beach bags for my 4 BMs with a Bridesmaid tank, flip flops for reception, jewlery and I am buying their dress and paying to get their hair done. I have NO idea for the GM. We are buying their outfits. I think my FI is going to take them golfing before the wedding.

And just so you all know...Erika LOOKS amazing!!!!

I am very happy with my decision on the Iberostar Tucan. I am very excited and think it will be wonderful. The thing I thought was the best was the Tucan only hosts one wedding per day. I am not sure about RIU Yucatan but that was important to me! Is anyone having a reception where you are renting out a restaurant? I am just curious to hear opinions about the restaurants. I will probably have about 55-60 people and thinking of the Tropical restaurant. Thoughts? Also, anyone host a welcome party? I am looking for ideas. THANKS!

I don't think the colors are boring. I agree with some of the girls above....also remember the color in your flowers will really pop out! Sounds fantastic.
