well the water on this whole area is not as nice as in playa del carmen. most days it was darker in colour but it didnt seem to have all the seaweed pple have talked about in tripadvisor reviews. we didnt swim in it as it was cold! the one day it was warmer we had gone for a walk and ended up in the bluer water in front of secrets 2 doors down. i didnt see an area to do a ceremony in the garden yes the rooms were nice.. large with GREAT showers. everyone in our group was in bldgs 3 4 and 5. we all found room service to be good

I just returned from the BBGE. We were there for my sisters wedding but she ended up having it all offsite at Marina Maroma. The resort was very nice, well kept, friendly staff. The food at the a la cartes was very good. Although not full they made making reservations for the a la cartes a bit difficult but we managed. There were 2 weddings while we were there. One had the ceremony on the beach in a little secluded area in front of the beach front restaurant where they serve buffet breakfast and lunch and since they were a small group i think they just had dinner in a restaurant. The setup looked nice. The other wedding got rain all day so the ceremony was in the lounge area that is just outside the french and italian restaurant which is very nice! They had a private dinner in the italian restaurant and then made use of the lounge while the dj was playing. re: bldgs to stay in we liked staying in the bldgs near the beach. we spend our days on the beach so it was nice to be close to the beach, pool, buffet breakfast and lunch. We didnt mind the walk just at night to the restaurants and sports bar. So any bldg 3-4-5 are good to stay in if that is what you would want. i would not wanted to have been in the bldgs near the lobby.... too far from the beach. The waiter service by the pool and on the beach was great. kinda made up for no swing bar:) They didnt have the beach party every night but the night they had it is was fun! The italian or mexican restaurants are the best for private receptions as the french/oriental one has tall long tables and a tepanaki table so layout is a bit different. The spa was nice.. i had a prenatal massage the day it rained and it was very good! Overall we enjoyed our stay... the weather could have been better as it was cold at night and not warm enough to go in the water by day

Hi Ladies Although I am married I thought I would let you know that we went to Fiji and Australia for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Radison in Denaru for 3 nights and 4 nights on Castaway. We LOVED it there. Castaway was gorgeous and we saw a beautiful wedding as well as a corporate private party. They did a great job! I was also very impressed with the quality of the food.... fantastic and not like what we have experienced in the past. We opted for the meal plan and ate like royalty the whole time we were there. Apparently they get chefs from Australia often to train their chefs on new things. I agree about buying alcohol, snacks and drinks before you head out to the smaller islands as it is much more expensive. Good thing we spoke to people before heading to Castaway as everyone had cases of beer and water etc on the ferry with them. Good luck with your planning!

OMG!!!! Just beautiful!!!! Do you know if you can use the chapel if you arent having the reception there? -
Im curious to see what pple think about this as my sister and I have talked about this a lot lately. She is feeling the same way as you and we still cant find any real advantages of booking as a group!?!?!?! She did put a deposit down for 10 pple so likely all the immediate family will take these rooms but we cant help thinking that pple who wait a bit more will get better deals so those who book early are the ones who get stuck paying more.

We went to Fiji and Australia for our honeymoon last may. We loved it there!!! We used a company called goway travel in Toronto to book and loved all the places they set us up in. We spent our first 2 days at the Radisson in Denaru on the main island to recoup from the long flight and then spent 4 days on Castaway Island. While on Castaway we went on a little island island excursion and visit Mana and TokuRiku (sp?). WOW is all i can say. Tokoriku (?) has 2 gorgeous resorts on it- adults only and the honeymoon bures are fantastic. As we were spending 6 weeks away we couldnt afford to go all out in any particular place so Castaway was great for us. On Mana we saw the special honeymoon bures and saw the only over water ones on our neighburing island as well. All fantastic. The water is gorgeous and the people are so warm and friendly. Although not all inclusive, our resorts offered meal plans and we ate well! The food is not like down south. it is all gourmet. The meal plan was worth it most days but sometimes too much... 2 course lunches and three course dinners werent always needed after a breakfast buffet A tip we learned before it was too late was to buy drinks and alcohol at duty free as you are allowed to bring it to the resorts and drink your own stuff at dinner etc. Even water and pop is $$$ on the islands so we knew when we saw aussie's with cases of beer and water that we should buy some before we go. There so many islands that make up fiji and we only saw about 10 -12 of them on our journey Let me know if you have any other questions... michelle
