We are back from our wedding the day went by so fast, all the planning and it is done. When we first arrived we were meeting by Gabby's assistant to welcome us to Huatulco and to remind us not to drink any alcohol since we were getting our blood work done that night at 7:00 pm. Meet up with Gabby and she took us to see a wedding that was going on that night. The next day we meet with Gabby to finish all of our planning, since we had done pretty much already we didn't have much to do. We meet with the new photographer to see his pictures from the night before. We were a little scary since we had not seen his work but we were happy went we saw them. I still think Fabian picture were just amazing and could not get passed them but I really didn’t have much of a choose. The photographer is a young guy and his wife helps him out. They were both there for the wedding and get all angles. The day of the wedding I got my hair done at 1; 00pm, anything thing I was not sure about since I have had my hair done before in Mexico for my sister wedding and that was a disaster but it turned out really good. Just make sure you have some pictures on how you want your hair done. The make up turn out good too a lot of make up, more than what I would normal wear but she cover up my sunglass tan which were pretty bad. We had the photographer from the time we got ready till the some of the dance. His wife even went and took some pictures of the guys getting ready which was nice. We get married at 4:30pm on the terrace and we had the trio band there playing which was really nice. The day was really hot. We had the reception by the gazebo which was very private. The food was amazing. We had the surf and turf highly recommend it (From the gold menu). We had the three milk cake which is the Mexico traditional wedding cake very good not dry at all. Than the dance started and end right all 11:00pm. There was a stereo that we used but didn’t know that you had to pay for it $200.00 US. Also if there are rose pedals they were very nice but again you end up paying from them in the end $80.00US even if you didn’t ask for them. Also the lights under the table, candles by the pool, and some other decorations that you didn’t ask for you get charged for which they did make it nice but I would have like to know that first. We have breakfast in bed the next day and a couple massages that after noon which was also included in the package. The only thing we were really unhappy about is the videographer didn’t show up, I only realized it after the ceremony and we would have had one of our guest recorded the wedding but I thought it was being done. We got our picture at 1:30pm the day we were leaving the bus was coming at 2:00 pm good old Mexico time. We got 1241 pictures on a disk and he was supposed to print some out but run out of time. It seems like a lot of pictures but lots of the same thing. I hope this helps. thanks for getting back to me. I think it is a write off too but I guess we will see what happens when we get down there. I really didn't have a contract just emails. We have 25 people going. I am excited but feel like I am forgetting to do stuff since you do it when you get there.

How would you go about getting your money back? I call Western Union to see about getting it back that way but he took the money out already. I send a email to his email address to see if someone might check it. Did you send the deposit to him or the WC? I am really not sure what to do.

Just thought I would let you guys know. I got a call from the WC today to let me know that Fabian the photographer has passed away. They have someone else now they are using and the WC said he is very good. She also has informed me that if you sent Fabain a deposit you will not be getting in back.

Other parts of mexico you have to do it. I will email the WC and see what she says. I let you know when I hear back.

Does anyone know if we have to get our birth certificate and passport translated before we go to Mexico? And if we have to get it translated does anyone know where to get it done it Calgary? Thanks Kim

Hello I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a few question and thought it would be best to ask you guys since the WC is hard to get a hold of. How much would itcost for my braidsmaids to get their hair done? For the reception do you have to pay extra for table cloths and candles? With the utlimate dreams package what do you get for the reception in regards to the decorations? Thanks!!!

I was wondering how did you guys send the 50% deposit to Fabian (photographer)?

We were quoted $1000 USD - but got off $200 as we already had booked a pkg through the Dreams resort and then another $200 off as we are NOT using him for the reception. So I guess he is charging you another $400 to come back the next day - how many hours is he coming back for to TTD?

Ok so we have picked our date of November 18, 2009. 19 people so far have booked. Here are my questions: We are having a heck of a time getting in touch with Rocio - we talked to her about a month ago and she said the date was good and ours and she would send the paper work so we can get the deposit to the resort - after sending her many emails we still having nothing - any one else experience this? Also - we have been in touch with the photographer to book a larger package - he too wants a deposit sent but i am not sure why I have to do this if he is already booked through the hotel and we would pay him the difference when we are there??

Thanks thanks thanks for the pics! It looks so nice. We have been in touch with Rocio - so far so good. If we were to arrive on friday - would it work to be married on Wednesday - as it says 4 days you have to be there? Also can you add the dinner to the "free" package?

HI we are looking at the Dreams Huatulco as well - still in deciding stages. This site has been great for info - has anyone gotten pics of where the ceremony can be - we are looking at a gazebo.
