Hi Samie! My BD session cost me $500: it included my share of rent on the loft for the marathon session, hair, makeup, a 30 image photo album and all the pictures from the session. I didn't really shop around so I'm not sure what the going rate was. But I'm pretty happy, as it means that in addition to the leather bound album that I will be giving my fiancé as our wedding gift (with the 30 pics), we also have about 250 on disk! Every photographer is likely quite different, I'm not sure how much one would charge to sell you the disk afterwards, when it is not included in the original package price. I'm sure other ladies will have advice in this regard :-) Good luck!!! BTW: I can't help but comment, your kids are absolutely gorgeous!!!

When we were in the ER the first question the doctor asked us was "what kind of water pills is she taking?" I don't mean to scare you but it's not something to take lightly. I would absolutely talk to your doc about it first. As a physician, I totally agree: even water pills you can buy over the counter can cause serious problems. Always consult with a physician before using!!! PS: I have this issue too. I just avoid salt and salty food, and it helps a lot.

Hi everyone! Not a mommy-to-be yet, but I'm very excited as my fiancé and I have decided to start trying during our 2 week weddingmoon in Mexico! We're leaving June 21st. I'm hoping it'll work out for us, I'm a physician who deals with genetic causes of infertility so am a bit anxious.... This will be the first time either of us try, I guess I should be more optimistic :-) I was wondering: have any of you kept up your exercising after becoming pregnant? I love to run and do yoga, I am hoping to keep it up if possible. I guess everyone is different and every pregnancy different too, but was just wondering about your experience with this. Thanks!!!

Ran 3.1 miles this morning before heading out on my commute. Might take a break tonight, FI downloaded the first episode of So You Think You Can Dance for us to watch together after work tonight. Yes, he loves it too!!!

I liked her! Glad she's back. I missed the show last night, but my FI is downloading for us to watch together tonight. I would love for a ballet dancer to come on this show (I did ballet until university): a cutie ballerina named Allie made it to the top 4 in the Canadian SYTYCD, she was amazing!!!

Your day is right after ours! Did 1.5 hours of power yoga tonight. Getting ready for my AM run, will go to bead early now.

My favourite show in the whole wide world! They are now auditioning for SYTYCD Canada, I highly recommend that one too as last year's (the first season) was AMAZING! I saw the top 10 dance on their tour and I will definitely be there again next year. I think it starts in August.

Since we are leaving in exactly 1 month today (yay!!!!) I decided to up the ante and do more cardio as I still have 5 lbs to go before departure. This morning, I woke up 30 minutes earlier than my 1 hour commute requires, and ran 30 minutes on the treadmill (3 miles). Tonight, will be going to yoga. It is on, it is SOOOOO on!!!

The Knot.com and Canada

I got my beach-themed wedding favours at Wedding Favors, Bridal Shower Favors, Party Favors by Beau-coup. They do ship to Canada. I'm VERY happy with them, great quality! Just received them 2 days ago :-) -
Just finished a 2 mile run on treadmill plus my 1 hour circuit training routine!

... And now the guests' flights and hotels are cancelled!

Licking my wounds.....
Chanti replied to LaBre's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
Oh my, I'm so sorry... That really really sucks... I think phone calls for those who don't use email/internet, combined with your website updates and emails are sufficient to announce the relocation of the wedding. I'm sure no matter where you chose, you will have a beautiful and memorable wedding! Chantal -
So first it was us, due to the swine flu. Lost our Sunquest packages with our upgraded room, booked back in December, as well as our direct Toronto-Cancun flight, since we were leaving June 20th. We were told our guests, leaving June 26 and 27 to come join us, would be OK. And when the Canadian government lifted the travel advisory to Mexico earlier this week, I thought we were coast clear. Now, I've just been informed by our travel agent that our guests have lost their entire packages as well. (HOW do the airlines and tour companies justify this, at this time, when things are improving?) She's scrambling to find them flights, and book their rooms directly with the resort now, hopefully she will succeed. I've reached the point where I'm resigned. Now I'm thinking: OK, we can handle this, but what's the next thing that will go wrong? Honestly, we should have just eloped!

What are you and FI/DH doing about your finances?
Chanti replied to BBtoB's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We've already combined our finances into one main account. We still have our individual accounts opened but since our pay cheques get deposited into our common account and we budget from there, not much flows into our solo accounts anymore! The only reason I am keeping mine open is because of the linked line of credit, with prime only interest :-) Has come in handy with the wedding expenses! -
Best foundation etc for photos

It's actually made in Europe (France maybe?) and imported specifically for Shopper's. Not too expensive (cost me $23 for a bottle of foundation) and it is AWESOME!!! I have skin that flakes easily whenever I try wearing foundation, but this has not been an issue. It was recommended by my BD make-up artist. Chantal -
Did power yoga last night. Also ate half a banana bread loaf during the day :-(
