BEAUTIFUL!! CONGRATULATIONS ON WHAT LOOKS LIKE A WONDERFUL WEDDING

We are also thinking about going to Tulum. I heard the beach is beautiful so I thought we could go early the day after the wedding, see the ruins and then spend some time at the beach before it gets too crowded. Other thoughts: ATV tours, zipline, horseback riding, Cenotes..... waiting to hear back from our TA on things. Bianca - I hear ya on the money issues. We are paying for everything and I just did my taxes(expecting to get some $$ to help in wedding costs) and found I actually owe $$.

Welcome Marryinghimagain! How cool to have a renewal vow ceremony. I am also excited to see the weddings and reviews over the coming months. I think it is a little bit early to take all of those reviews to heart since the resort is newly opened AND I agree some people find the bad in anything. I can't wait to marry the love of my life also!!

I am not doing many flowers, just my boquet I think. Maybe white calilillies. All white with a blue ribbon around the stems. Simple. I am having my bridesmaid carry a parasel in white instead of flowers. We got the ultimate package, but really only because we wanted the dinner, cocktail hour and music. I can do without the hair, makeup and extra flower stuff. We will see if they allow us to substitue for other things( longer music set ex.)??

Darn, my colors are blues and an accent of lime green. I love her colors, but my sister had those at her wedding so I wanted to try something different:) Her decor sounds a lot like what I want. I was thinking about petals also on the walkway to the gazebo. I have not heard anythign about a runner, but would like to know that as well. Do you have pics of the adult area by the pool? I have seen pictures of the resort but am not sure which area that is. I was going to do everything in the gazebo because we are only having about 20 people and Jacy said we can set up tables in the gazebo for dinner. Anyone else thinking of that? My wedding is July 2nd so maybe I will get to see some pics of weddings before it: :0! Thanks everyone for your advice and tips!

Or share pics and advice:) VOTIVES: I think she probably showed you hurricanes because it is windy there and votives go out easily. Hurricanes are better to keep the candles lit. We decided against booking rooms because of the penalty, but we don't have that many people coming and most are already booked. Is anyone planning on using the gazebo and decorating it? Did you get any current pictures from Jacy? I have some ideas, but its hard when I haven't actually been there.

I got a call from my dressmaker that my fabric is in and on Saturday I am going to go see it to make sure everything is good before she starts making my dress. So excited! Checks: STDs - mailed Dress - "ordered" - getting it custiom made! Suits - picked out to order Saturday Invites - In progress Yea:) Can't wait for July!!

We have not been asked to put down a deposit for the wedding package either. I only put a deposit down for the rooms. We were told that booking our stay serves as a confirmation and hold for your wedding date. I got worried, so I had my travel agent get in writing(email) from Jacy that our date and time is secured. I have it saved so I feel better about it now.

Oh how exciting! I love that some of the brides weddings are getting close. Can't wait to see pics and hear reviews. What package is everyone getting? We decided on the Ultimate because it just seemed to have everything.

We were thinking about having our ceremony and reception at the gazebo. we are only having 10-20 people and though we could have the ceremony, then they could set up tables and a buffet while we go to the bar for a cocktail hour then continue dinner at the gazebo. After seeing this space do you think this would work? Is the space by the lagoon prettier to set up a buffet rather than keeping it at the gazebo?

aug0208 - when is your wedding scheduled for? Any pictures are greatly appreciated girls!! This forum has been great during the planning process. Hello! So I found a dress I LOVE(Alvina Valenta 9756 Alvina Valenta Couture Bridal Gowns, Bridesmaid Gowns, and Evening Gowns) but it is way out of my price range. I am looking for a seamstress or custom designer to make me a dress that is similar. Anyone have suggestions?

AlliMay your NOT crazy! We are going to do the Gold Menu which we thought looked pretty yummy, but we are big steak and seafood fans, with guests who like fish so we like the option to do the buffet. I agree with you on the cost though. It still seems a bit weird having to pay for the food at an AI. I guess it is the extra set up and service? We are getting married July 2 just before you are! On another note: Does anyone have pics of the ballroom? Allthough I hate the thought of it, this is the backup plan for rain and I have no idea what it is like. Fingers crossed it won't matter!

Hi girls. Has anyone created their own passport invitations? If so, what kind of paper did you use? Size? Texture? I am working on mine soon and wondered what seemed to work best. Pics would be great as well!!
