  1. Second... Our photographers flew in from the U.S. to Mexico and didn't have trouble at all. They have done several destination weddings in the past and definitely know about checking the the rules for different countries. 3. Hit weights after work today. Forgot to bring gloves and my hands are sore.
  4. Congratulations Jess on a perfect wedding!!! Everything looked so beautiful and you did a fantastic job with all the details. "Couples Kissing" is my favorite picture with both sets of parents and bride & groom! That's really sweet!
  5. You kidding? The more the merrier! Welcome to the thread and we hold each other accountable on progress and setbacks. Quote: Originally Posted by jen_trev Mind if I join in ladies? Tonight is aquafit night

  7. Palette 1 colors compliment each other much nicer than #2.
  8. 45-minute personal training at 6 a.m. today. Need to start hitting weights more often.
  9. Hola Lisa, My fiance-now-husband from Canada went to Justice of Peace and got married before heading down to Playa del Carmen for our symbolic wedding. This saved us trouble/headaches from: 1. Dealing with the INS on his green card application and we didn't experience any delays. 2. Fulfilling the local requirements to get married legally in Mexico. From what I understand, you still need to go to Justice of Peace to register even after you are legally married in Mexico. Hope this helps.
  10. to BDW and Congratulations!!!
  11. to BDW and Congratulations!!! Still have plenty of time to plan your wedding and everything will work out just fine.
  12. Check out Invitations, Free eCards and Party Planning Ideas from Evite. That's what I used to send out "Save the Date" notification. Important thing is to keep it short and sweet.
  13. Oh no... Please keep us posted on progress or any updates! Sending good energy your way!!! Health takes #1 priority!!! Focus on getting through surgery and recovery!!!
  14. 30-minute Step Aerobics and 15-minute ABS at lunch today.
  15. Love all your pictures!!! Your entourage got some serious camera equipment and it shows in the pictures!!! Congratulations!!!
  16. Happy Birthday 30-Year-Old-Bride! You won't be the 40-Year-Old-Virgin!!!
  17. Drinks are actually very reasonable at Mahekal Beach Resort (Shangri-La Caribe): - Margarita - 45 Pesos (approx. USD $3.3) - Mojito - 45 Pesos (aprrox. USD $3.3) The drinks are strong/good and the bartenders do not water them down unlike some of the all-inclusive resorts. We had a welcoming margarita/mojito cocktail and a tray of 50 appetizers for 1.5 hours and it was not expensive at all. Hope this helps. 18. I second here. In a way, it is good that everyone is treated equally and there is no gimmick at all. Cierra at Turquoise Reef Group was awesome and she made sure all our guests received the best rate based on the promotions offered at the time. I would highly recommend going through Playa del Carmen Travel Deals | Yucatan Hotel Reservations. This company is based out of Colorado and all the communication was clear via email/phone. 19. Hola Leslie, Just realized this when I checked the rates again. **Black Out dates for Discounted Rates: Nov 24 thru 27** However, there maybe other promotions within the next few months your group can take advantage of.
  20. Awesome! Let me know if there is anything I can help! I will post a review within the next few weeks. Quote: Originally Posted by PaperBagPrincess Thanks Ladies! I'll look into that restaurant, as well as some others on 5th and the Kool Beach Club also looks nice.
  21. Wow, just saw the video and that's a major project. I hope it will be completed ASAP and not impacting any future weddings that have been planned along that beach. Thanks for the heads up Matt!
  22. Sure! Our wedding was at Al Cielo in Xpu-Ha and it was perfect! Quote: Originally Posted by bride2b10 Poohshek - where did you get married, if you don't mind?
