  1. Please let us know how it goes! I am excited for you! 2. We met with Doranna during our scouting trip and she definitely is very passionate about hairdos. My fiance and I both thought she has a pretty cool personality. Now that she has a partner that loves to do makeup, she only does hair for the bride and the wedding party. Yes, she is pricey but I am confident she does great work based on what I saw.
  3. Judging from these two pictures, the square centerpiece looks better. If you have more pictures of the round centerpiece, it maybe a toss up.
  4. Hey Chantal, any luck finding a workout buddy? My wedding is not until December but I will be more than happy to sign up with you.
  5. Went to "Power Pump" at lunch and had a very packed 25-minute cardio/strength session with this DVD --> Jillian Michaels - The Biggest Winner! How to WIN By Losing - Shape Up - Backside. Thumbs up! I know this works against my work out but I had lobster/crab/shrimp ravioli with pink vodka sauce for dinner. Jillian will definitely torture me next time.
  6. Thumbs up on the Jillian Michaels - The Biggest Winner! How to WIN By Losing - Shape Up - Backside!!! Had a very packed 25-minute work out with this DVD and I will definitely recommend it.
  7. This is so cool and I am glad you all had fun! Please share pictures!
  8. Update to weddings at Shangri-La Caribe: Christine at the Turquoise Reef Group is no longer handing wedding coordination at Shangri-La Caribe. Please email Deborah at Mayazone ([email protected]) going forward. We saw a wedding taking place at Shangri-La Caribe when we were down there at the beginning of December 2008. The beach was not very big for the ceremony and there were quite a few bystanders and people walking past behind the altar on the beach 20 feet away. This is probably the biggest downside to picking this venue. Hope this helps.

  10. Step aerobics followed by a hard abs session at lunch today. Returned to the gym later on for triceps and back.
  11. Hi Kate, You can do it!!! Hope you catch more than 7.5 hours of sleep tonight! 12. Jillian Michaels - The Biggest Winner! How to WIN By Losing - Shape Up - Front I followed the routine in this DVD yesterday and it was awesome. Forgot exactly how long it took and it was probably about 30 minutes. Great cardiovascular exercise combined with light weights and I was surprised how much I sweated. It looked easy when i reviewed the footage over the weekend but it is very effective. Checking out Jillian Michaels - The Biggest Winner! How to WIN By Losing - Shape Up - Backside and I am watching it as I am typing here. It looks pretty good too and I am planning on trying it out on Thursday. These DVDs will be good additions to your collection.
  13. Logged 4.2 miles on the treadmill this evening. Almost bedtime and I will sleep pretty well tonight.
  14. Welcome to the thread! It is good to keep the motivation coming. I am with you about not overdoing the workouts and risks injury. My wedding is in November and I really need to start losing weight and firming up. My goal is to lose about 15lbs/go down one dress size. So here's my first exercise entry: Took a 1 hour Turbo Kick Boxing class during lunch yesterday. Today, I plan to take a 15 minute Amp'd Abs class after work and then hit the treadmill for 20 mins and leg weights. I hope to increase my running time but I'm just starting out so I probably shouldn't overdo it.
  15. Went to yoga at lunch today and stretched. I am feeling pretty good.
  16. I just ordered mine from Amazon.com and it was US$8.49 (free shipping). My goal is to use this on the weekend at home for convenience and to supplement the cardiovascular and strength routine during the week. My abdomen is actually quite round and I am working on flattening it a bit for the wedding dress since it is fitted around the waist. Wish me luck!
  17. I started drinking Perrier recently when I crave for a pop. It has the fizz and actually quenches your thirst. Sometimes I mix in some orange/grapefruit juice as a treat. You can also throw in a few slices of lemon/lime. Just a thought for all the brides who are watching/counting calories. Cheers!
  18. Took a rest day yesterday. Did some chest work and did cardio with Jillian Michaels "The Biggest Winner - How to Win by Losing: Shape Up - Front". I am now a Jillian Michaels fan! Her routine is awesome and I sweated like a pig!
  19. Staying within budget is definitely a priority for me. There are areas that I am willing to splurge and there are others I am cutting back on. My goal is to get the biggest bang for the buck. It is easy to get carried away with emotions at times and swipe that plastic card.
  20. Very nice!!! I like the ribbon a lot. Are you planning on carrying the same theme on your wedding invitations?
  21. Fabulous job! Definitely got a lot of "Personal Touch" and I bet your guests would love them!
  22. I will probably skip OOT bags and spend the money on wedding favors.
