  1. I am about to attempt a DIY project for wedding favor - Fridge Magnets. Just purchased the materials today and will give it a shot this week. Also, we are thinking about printing pictures for our guests as souvenirs once we receive the edited images from the photographers after the wedding.
  2. Does he have to have a particular color too? 3. My fiance is going to dress up for the big day. I picked out the suit/shirt/tie at Nordstrom beforehand and we went back to try everything on. He could not believe how "painless" it was for him. On top of that, the suit was 50% off and the shirt was on sale too. You can do the leg work first and that will sure make it easier for Nick. As to wedding favors, I am still trying to figure out what to do. If I can come up with a DIY project, it will help with the budget. Also, what's your plans for favors and getting them there? My Uncle started a charity for providing teddy bears for children in hospitals and ambulances so does anyone think putting a note at each seat that we've donated x amount of money to his charity would be an alright thing to do? Thanks for your input, and sorry for the rant!!!
  4. Your hair looked great!!! Did you do it yourself? Quote: Originally Posted by tylersgirl Yes, they worked out great. 5. Totally agree tan lines in bridal party looks BAD! Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding Yep, don't wait! you gotta work on those tanlines now! (in my opinion!) It's a pain and my friends prob think I'm crazy, but I'm OCD about my tanlines - today I just laid out ALLLLLLLL day - but I had a bandeau top on.
  6. We shacked up for a little over 7 years before he popped the question. By the time the wedding takes place, we will be together for almost 9 years.

  8. That's very AWESOME!!! Congratulations and WELCOME to the forum!
  9. Dear MarieSam, So glad to see this thread and got a few comments. 1. You got nice legs!!! Glad you showed them off with the RED HOT heels! 2. I am proud of you for returning the Cole Hann shoes. They are FABULOUS but OUCH!!! 3. Sorry if I harassed you about your Cole Hann purchase few months ago.
  10. I would pick Jimmy Choo!!! Actually, how do you walk in heels that tall? I had to return the Jimmy Choo shoes to Saks purchased for the wedding because I could ONLY stand in them but could not make it from one end of the house to another. They are FABULOUS shoes but of no use to me.
  11. The photographers we have booked gave us a pretty good discount simply because ours is a destination wedding. It never hurts to ask. All he/she can say is "NO".
  12. I have MAJOR tan lines from getting sunburned on the lake. It almost looks like I have a white bikini on when naked. I was thinking about going over to the pool at a friend's house and do a topless tan at the end of September. Is this not a good idea? Quote: Originally Posted by autjo Have you tried exfoliating?

  14. You look FABULOUS!!! The sweetheart neckline is very flattering!
  15. Doranna gave me bank account information with a US bank in Louisiana and I didn't have any trouble with the wire transfer. It costed US$20 and she received the funds quickly. Quote: Originally Posted by Dee83 So I booked Doranna (a local hair stylist) for my hair and make up for my July 29 wedding in Dreams Tulum. She requested 50% deposit through wire transfer. So i went ahead and did that almost two weeks ago. I sent her an email letting her know I sent the $ and the reference number. I got an email from her saying she was out of town and would respond when she gets back. So I got an email from her today saying that her bank has the money but is not depositing it in her account because they claim that the wire transfer does not have a receiver or senders name You cant send a wire transfer without having the sender and receivers name and address..I have no idea why her bank is saying that. I am looking at my paper record of the transfer and it very clearly shows both her name (with bank account info) and my name and address. She is telling me that the bank wants a copy of my passport so the bank can confrim the transaction and give her the depost. Is this normal? Has anyone done this before or am I too paranoid
  16. Pictures are stunning!!! The photographers did a great job!!! Congratulations and thanks for the review!
  17. This probably won't be an issue. But also think about how well the candy would hold up in the temperature where the buffet will be set up. 18. I LOVE CAKES!!! However, as long as you have something SWEET and TASTY for dessert, it does NOT matter!!! You should do WHAT YOU WANT!!! The BRIDE IS THE BOSS!
