Congratulations to everyone!!! Angela, we also decided not to have any type of reception after an awesome party in Mexico. We felt like nothing can top the wedding festivities in Playa del Carmen. First and foremost, pick a date/month for your wedding. Then schedule a trip (ideally for 7 - 10 days) around the time period you would like to get married to get an idea for the weather. Gather information on all the venues on your short list and schedule appointments with the coordinators beforehand. One trip should be enough if you have done all the legwork. DO NOT BOOK until you return from your scouting trip!!! Take some time to think things through before putting down a deposit since it is likely non-refundable. I am speaking from personal experience and hope this helps. Happy Planning!!!
