Hi Guys, Quick update, they do have a makeup person onsite at their salon. I still don't have the prices. I'll post once i get them. I agree with Morgan on the hotel photographers btw....if their website is the best they got then I would go with someone else. I am using Ivan Luckie Photography. He is great and affordable. He flew to NY to meet with me and a few of the other girls on the forum when he came up to buy equiptment. He is very nice. I have a thread on him if you search Ivan Luckie it will come right up. Morgan how do you put the links to the thread in a message...I am so clueless..lol

I really want to do a BD book, but am not sure if I have the funds. I was thinking of having my friend take the photos and making it a DIY project. What do you guys think? Has anyone done this and how did they turn out? Pics would be great for inspiration. Thanks!!

Thanks for the info. I heard great things about the resort hairdresser so I will probably go with them since they are cheaper. I wish I knew how the makep people are. I love the pics on Moments that Matter btw!!

I agree with the others. It would be helpful to see the dress, but I have seen dresses in that color and they have been lovely. The good thing about DW is that there are no rules so im sure it will work out fine :-)

I'm going for a similar look and am hoping to get the groomsmen outfits by the end of the month. The groom already has his outfit (in the second store we went into - guys are so easy..lol) Our wedding is in November and also figured it would be easier to find clothes in the summer

No worries, I'm sure many of us can relate - I know I can :-) You will find a numer of great options on here. I am getting married at the Catalonia Riviera Maya cause it is affordable, great service, wonderful reviews and we loved it when we went last year. You could find a number of reviews on here. I love my girly books and I have just finnished reading every single Sophie Kinsella book ever made...well I on my last. The SHopaholic series is amazing!! So funny. The undomestic Goddess had me laughing. I also love Danielle Steele, Jackie Collins. If its romance or cutesy then I read it..lol

Since you already had the one on one with her I think its time to ignore her. Hopefully that will prompt her to ask you whats wrong and at that point tell her exactly how you feel. That's a strategy I have used and works most of the time, although you have those people that are chickens and never ask whats wrong and thats usually when I corner them after a while and tell them in a nice way if they haven't noticed that I've been totally ignoring them and then explain why. I'm not very good at keeping my feelings to myself for very long cause it just causes pent up frustration and why should you be so frustrated on your big day...I say give it a try.

I could imagine how much luggage I am going to have CatBride09 - I have asked the same question, but I haven't heard of a single member who have used them for makeup I'm going to take my chances anyway cause I stink with putting on makeup and so do all my friends..lol...I'm just planning on taking pics for reference so she knows the look I'm going for.

I feel your pain. Its crazy how the people you thought would be there for you suddenly change. I am going through a similar situation. Like Morgan said, I would not fire her if she already has gone through the trouble of getting a dress, tickets, etc cause even if she would attend the wedding as a guest think of how awkward it would be...yikes. Have you tried asking her if she is feeling pressured about being a BM. Perhaps she wants to back out, but is afraid to tell you. I did that whith my cousin in the early stages and she indeed backed out when I gave her the opportunity and told her there was no pressure since she had a lot on her plate already. Hope this helps and remember - Dont let anyone ruin your day.

We are staying at the same place for both wedding and honeymoon. We didn't want to waste time traveling and there is a ton of stuff to do on the resort to keep us occupied.
