I am wearing a sandal with a small heal. i would have opted for barefoot, but I am too short to get away with it. I say go with how you feel comfortable. If you go with sandals, make sure they are not too high, you dont want to do a balancing act on the way to the alter (my worst nightmare..lol)

Congrats on finding your dress!! I also found my dress that day at Filenes running of the brides. It was very fun (although i didnt really run...I actually walked there after work at around 6pm..lol) It was a crazy scene that I enjoyed. I wish I would have taken pictures!! I tried on so many dresses and the very last dress I tried on was THE ONE!! Someone we know has to get married next year so that we can take part in the fun again..lol

Hello, I think you have plenty of time and should wait to nail down your location before sending the STD cards out. You can spread the word verbally that you are planning on having a destination wedding, just to get people prepared ahead of time and to plant the seed in their heads that they will need to take some time off of work and start saving for their trip. Personally, I have just sent out the STD's and am sending actual invites in June. All of our guests already new about the DW so it didnt come as a suprise to anyone. Hope this helps...try not to worry too much, one thing you see on this forum is that we all worry and stress about everything and in the end...the wedding ends up being perfect

Hello All, Sorry, I've been off line for a while...so much to do with school, work, wedding...wow Well, I am happy to report that I found my wedding dress!! I went from not having anything planned to things falling into place! I have booked the date for November 14, 2009 at Catalonia Riviera Maya and the Private reception right on the beach is also booked. I have ordered one of my wedding favors, it's the sand and seashells in the bottle with our names engraved on it and I am now looking for a second favor being that the bottles will be one per couple...I a trying to choose between a beach wedding themed candle or luggage tags....What do you guys think?? Has anyone used/booked a travel agent?? I am on the prowl for one and seem to be leaning towards one of the TA's on this site (with the FI approval of course ) Happy Planning!!
