I believe it was $40 from the hotel to Ricks if you used the taxi stand in the hotel lobby front ... BUT the key is to use a private driver the whole trip ....they will come back and forth and get you ..and you won't pay 1/2 as much ... basically when you get up in the am ..call your driver and tell him what time you want to go and to where.. he'll be out front the hotel ... we used him also for the airport transfers .. I cant think of his name to save my life .. but I found him on tripadvisor by referrals *added* Kenny Jamaica is who I used

I called Tai Flora ... that is their work ...... starts @ $1800 but its based on the size of the party ..... I asked for 50 people and she said $2700 which includes the lanterns and the fabric ........... I would def call and get your own quote if you are interested ..everything in Jamaica is negotiable

There are no walls @ the Riu lol ..that is probably the best description I can give .... the only places with 4 walls ...are really the restaurants .. all of the bars are outside kinda sorta ... go to tripadvisor.com and search Riu Ocho Rios ..look at the photos ..you'll see the set up ..

Rick's Cafe Dunn's River Falls Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville (I went to the one in Ocho Rios) but there is one in Negril If that is your first time going, I would def say go to experience it ..so you can say you went .. There are comparable falls to Dunn's River in Negril .. Mayfield I think is the closest, and then YS .. You can climb both I think ..probably double check on the websites . If you feel comfortable ... Jungle (nightclub) on Thursdays in Negril is ladies night lol ... but packed with tourists too You'll prob spend more time in town and at the hotel than doing tours .. your days go by so fast, after you have done 1 or 2 you pretty much toss the others out the window ... i would def do the catmaran cruise to Rick's .. you get some snorkeling time in, time to see the sunset, then booze cruise back ..

Dunns River Falls is actually far from Negril ..like an 1-2 hours on the other side of Mo Bay Airport .. You should look into YS or Mayfield Falls ...they are similar to Dunns River but not as far ... Also ... There is a Margaritavilla in Negril ..just a few minutes from the RTB

Rick's Cafe .. we went at about 530ish to catch the sunset...it was about 20 mins from the Riu Palace Tropical Bay and it was packed to the gills with people trying to see the sunset ... there was a reggae band wrapping up ... and as soon as the sun set it cleared out ..... alot of the tour groups are there in the afternoon to watch the cliff divers ...they also have a pool with cabanas around the side you can rent for the afternoon ...there is also an umbrella table/chairs in the pool kinda neat .. its really nice I guess you have to decide what you are going for .. the sunset views or to actually chill off the resort ..the food is just ok if you ask me .. but the drinks were excellente lol ... I'm not sure how I would feel with little kids b/c you were literally on the cliff ... I was alittle nervous myself we went and sat on the 2nd floor of the restaurant .... I dont think we paid anything to get in

Soooo .. I've reached a fork in the road ..... I found some gorgeous real touch bouquets, etc that I liked ..the quote was alittle pricy to not include any large arrangements, centerpieces .. SO, I thought I would get the ceremony/reception pieces there ... Then the light bulb went on and now I'm thinking about just getting everything there ... the pro is .. I wont have to lug anything down ... but the con is I wont have that bouquet I saw that I loved so much and based my entire wedding color scheme on .. I want my flowers/decorations to be the wow of the wedding. .. so waiting until the day to see it all together kinda rattles my nerves ... the OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) side of me lol wants everything to match .. sashes ..runners.. etc you know pink just isnt pink ..theres fushia ..magenta... blah blah lol see how bad it is ... Any advice??

I got a quote for silk flowers .. but then I started thinking about just getting the bouquets and ceremony/reception flowers when i got there (Floral Fantasies) .. cost wise it may be cheaper to combine them both there ........ BUT waiting til I get there to have my flowers/decorations which I want to be a big WOW of the wedding .. unnerves me ... But the big plus is everything will match ...which is one of my secret OCD's (obsessive compulsive disorders) lol ..
