  1. I know that if you use your credit card to book any of your travel, they cover some kind of insurance too but not health/medical. I'm lucky to not have to use it so far. The $1/day sounds too far fetch but it may exist and only covers the bare minimum.
  2. I am sure it's such a great feeling to make something on your own and everyone love it. You two did an awesome job! Postcard as save-the-date card is a great idea.
  3. It's looks professionally done, great job! I like the pre-brochure idea for my travel theme wedding. Thanks!
  4. Been there several times for dining and for the gorgeous view. Sunset view is awesome and the food from Kya restaurant is very delicious.
  5. I used it on my last trip to Europe, Nov 2007, but it wasn't the EuroRail. I used it mainly when my fiance and I were in Italy...from Rome, Venice, Bologna, Florence and back to Rome. It was so convenient and not over priced. Also, there are lots of time tables available for you to choose from. We bought most of the ticket over the internet, TrenItalia.com. Since you want to sleep in the train, purchase or reserve in advance. But you can buy tickets when you get to the station too. A friend of mine lives in Germany and she uses EuroRail to travel for work between different cities and surrounding countries. I highly recommend it!!!
  6. Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! I am very excited for the big day. So far planning is fun, but I'm sure that'll change when it gets closer to the day... the stress will come to the surface just to make sure everything will go smoothly.
  7. Hi everyone! My name is Alexandra. My fiance and I planned to tie the knot on Oct 10, 2009 in LA county. The ceremony will be at Wayfarers Chapel and reception to follow at the Queen Mary. Perhaps it's not a wedding destination for me and my fiance but it is sort of becoming that since our family, friends and relatives are from all over the globe. Our wedding theme is travel so having it at the Queen Mary fits the bill. I am very excited to join this wedding forum so I can get lots opinions and advice from those who have been through it all. I look forward to hear from those who have experience with having their big event at the Queen Mary. I was a little bit wary about the entree selection since there aren't that many to choose from. However, I was pleased to hear from my catering manager that they will work with me if I have a certain menu in mind. But it's always good to hear from those who have first hand experience. Thanks!
