  1. My friends and I went on a hot air balloon ride in Temecula a few years ago and after we landed, the lady who took us for the hot air balloon ride brought us to Wilson creek for some champagne and cheese. That was the first time I tried the Almond Champagne and now I always get it for special occassion/holidays. Almond Champagne certainly is yummy!
  2. Congratulations Jen and welcome to the forum! Best wishes and happy planning.
  3. I like dress # 1, it does have the vintage appeal to it. The upper body detail and the lace on the bottom look's great. The dress accentuate's your nice figure. Your SO will definitely love it!
  4. Hi, Welcome and Congratulations! As for BM dresses, try looking into pastel colors such as teal, mauve, pink or bright shade of yellow. I think they would look great with the blue ocean/blue sky and the sand/beach. Good luck with the planning and best wishes!
  5. My FI and will delay our HM 7 months after the wedding because I want to make it to my family reunion in the Philippines May 2010. So we have decided to have our HM at the same time in Asia. We're going to spend 7 days in the Philippines, 5 days in Thailand (Phuket and Kho Pangan) and 3 days in Bali. Cathay Pacific has a promotion called Asia Pass. We were going to do this trip this past May, except for Thailand; only Bangkok instead of the 2 islands, and the quote I got was $1500 per person for all RT flights from LAX-HK-Bali-Bangkok-Philippines-HK-LAX, taxes and other surcharges included. They didn't have the flights we wanted out of Bali to HK so we canceled, it's because we didn't inquire early enough. $1500 price per person is very cheap to get you to all the cities. When you get there food and accommodation is fairly cheap. This seems like a lot of places and lots of traveling in 2 1/2 weeks but since we're already there might as well go to as many places as you can. Take advantage of it. Actually this is how we like to travel, see as many places as we can in one long trip. If anyone is interested in a HM anywhere in Asia, check out Cathay Pacific or have your TA check out Cathay Pacific site because most of the promotions they offer require a TA. From what I remember the Asia Pass promo started end of December. Good luck everyone and happy planning!
  6. Yes it makes sense. I was beginning to think that my sis will be the MOH and the rest BM and just run with it. Personally, the titles doesn't matter that much to me and I don't think they will care that much either, just as long as they are in the wedding. But you never know. Thanks for your input Katy.

  8. Here's my dilemma. I have 4 ladies on my bridal party excl the flower girls; one is my sister, who is married and the other 3 are my best friends, two of which are married. How do I categorize them? Should I categorize them as bridesmaid all together or 3 matron of honor and one maid of honor? Sounds strange. Or does the title really matters?
  9. Hi Melanie, Congratulations and welcome to the forum. The big day is almost here so goodluck with your planning!
  10. Congratulations Nita! This site has a wealth of information and ideas that certainly is helpful. I've only been here for a short period of time and I like it because of the information other people has to offer. Make sure you have a planning calendar so you can stay on top of things and set your priorities. Don't forget to ask for help from family and friends, I'm sure they are more than willing to help out. Best wishes and happy planning!
  11. Congratulations Tricia and welcome to the forum! As you look into tons of wedding sites, magazines, and the more you talk to your FI, family and friends, something will just come to you. And it will be perfect place. Setting a budget will also help with your location choices unless that's not an issue.
  12. I'm going to agree with what the ladies stated on here...Ivory does go with any color. I think pastels will work better with Beach/Sea side wedding, like teal or blue. That would be my choice. But you can't really go wrong with any colors to go with Ivory.

I want a similar cake, stacked but only 2 layers with different shapes. Does anyone know if bakers normally would charge extra for having different shapes versus the same shape, e.g. all rounds.?

  16. Your colors looks good but it might be better with light blue. But then again it is your day, and like what others had said this will come down to personal choice. I'm sure it will come together and will look beautiful.
  17. You did awesome on the details and everything else. The resort itself is very nice. Thanks for sharing your journal. Can't wait to see your pics.
