For outside vendors- I'm pretty sure that they mean that you can't bring anyone onto the property to provide a service, but if you buy flowers there or bring silk flowers (which I am doing) there's no problem there...

I just have to get this off of my chest- so I came over to visit my dad and my step-mom tells me (after he's gone to sleep) that he may be getting laid off from his job of 28 YEARS, which is why he has not given me a direct answer about what they will contribute to the wedding, and now I feel guilty for having a DW! I don't think that money's so bad that they wouldn't come, and I don't mind if they cannot help- but their suggestion is that we have it at home!! I don't see how putting ourselves in debt for the kind of wedding that we don't even want is a solution...

Hi Leanna, I think most people use a TA because they provide a bit more info for guests and help you keep track of who has booked...also I went with a TA because my guests had the option of putting a deposit down and paying off the room in installments. The rate I was given was the same as the prices online and direstyl through the hotel, so as far as I know there shouldn't be too much of a difference. Also, our TA is helping to make sure that we're all in the same area of the resort since MP is really big. I read somewhere that they charge extra for the service...it's different if you all go and eat in a restaurant vs. having them set up at a location and pull staff to serve etc...hope that helps, and congrats on your wedding!
