I am sooo sorry to hear this beth! My heart aches for you both. I'm not sure what you are your fiance have decided for next steps down there. My husband and I got married almost 2 months ago and our ceremony was just the 2 of us. I know it's no comparison to what you had planned and obviously want those close to you to be there but it will be the most ROMANTIC, BEAUTIFUL, UNFORGETTABLE experience the 2 of you will share. dbellie - sorry to hear that some of your guests are worried. I think the best thing you can do is what you're doing, "hey if you want to cancel then do" They can make their own choices. I had everyone under the sun telling me about the travel alerts/crime in Mexico a few months ago when we went and had to repeatedly tell people we would be fine, and we were MORE than fine...people don't understand you are in a gated resort!!! Good luck!
