We just looked at Merriman's last week when we were in Maui and it was breathtaking. I am not planning on doing a traditional reception, but if I was Merriman's would be my choice for sure! Amazing views and gorgeous venue. Good luck!

Hey thanks guys for your responses! I know we're planning 2 weeks in Hawaii in May and Kona Village is on my list as a place to check out! The FH actually suggested it! He's been to Kona and I haven't. Alyssa, I saw your reviews, and pics and it looks like an amazing place! How big was your wedding there? We're doing a fairly small wedding I think. I saw on the packages they have the photographer, but can you hire your own as well? It's so exciting, yet overwhelming, the thought of actually planning this wedding! Heather, I will definetly post a review and pictures if we are able to go check it out this May, it looks like such a beautiful location!!!! I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd try to bring it up again! We're planning a wedding in Hawaii, and although we are 99% sure we'll do it on the Island on Maui, I am in love with Kona Village. I think we may go visit the resort this may, and see how we like it. It looks beautiful!

The almond champagne is to DIE for! Excellent! I only live about 15 miles from the Winery, so I try to make it out there every once and a while for tastings! Enjoy!

Ok, I don't even have a location, date (or ring yet! lol) for that matter and I am totally obsessed with my TTD pictures. I spent like hours yesterday on BDW showing my FMIL pictures of TTD's. She had never heard of it, and was so excited with me! Ok, first things first. But the TTD sounds like so much fun! I really want to wear my original dress for my TTD, so I'll have to keep that in mind while dress shopping!

Hi Ashley! Congrats! I'm glad you found a good photographer, that is one of the most important things for me, when planning the wedding! The day is over so fast, but the pictures last forever!
