    I was just married there in Feb of 2009 and our Marriage Certificate came in Spanish so I am assuming that's how it will come unless things have changed!!!

    I am not certain about all weddings but our Judge spoke Spanish, that's why we needed the english translation. But maybe it has changed in the past year

    We were married on the Colonial Beach in Feb 2009 we ended up using the Best Man to translate! Our Judge would speak in Spanish then our WC held the English version for the Best Man to read. It was actually funny and made it more personal. When we watch the wedding DVD now we can still get a laugh at the Best Man trying to say some of the words! ha-ha

    Thank you so much for your help. I am actually asking for a friend who is interested in getting married there as well. I was married there last February Ha-ah so a year and two days before you! Our wedding was a Friday so I wasn't sure if they did weddings on weekends!

    My friend asked me to be a bridesmaid by mailing a cute photo album with a poem she wrote in it! Now we can fill the album with pictures of us at her wedding!!!! I loved the idea!!

    I am the MOH in my sisters wedding and will be buying a Dessy dress as well! In the store the one we like is over $400.00 but we seen the same dress on the "House of Brides" & "Best Bridal Prices" websites for half that price! Have you looked there at all? I think that's where we will be ordering from!

    We used discount mugs as well and never had a problem!! But then again our print was black and that would be hard to mess up! I am really sorry that you had a bad experience; your mugs still look really cute!!

    My sister is planning a Dominican Wedding at this resort. I was just wondering if anyone had any wedding pictures or experiences form here. Also, I was married in Mexico and had to be there for 4 days prior to them marrying is, is there anything like this when planning a Dominican wedding? Thank you everyone for any help!

    We took our rings; I am with you girls they are safest on our finger! Plus I really wanted them for our pictures!

    I was married at the Barceló in February 2009 and in the early planning stages we too had troubles getting a hold of the wedding coordinators. I phoned and booked the wedding date that way and after that dealt with them through email! If you are having troubles and they are not calling back or emailing you back, I would suggest involving your travel agent. That's what we ended up doing and after that they were extremely helpful and got back to us on a timelier manner! Just a suggestion as they don't want to upset travel agents or they would never send anyone to their resorts!

    I agree with Yari and Alyssa it's their trip too! They should be able to have fun as well! My husband went fishing the day before our wedding and I was happy that he got out with his buddies! Us girls took that as our chance to go shopping. And if you worried that you guests will be upset well then so be it your soon to be husband also paid for his trip and should be allowed to enjoy it.
