Thats a bummer about your family having to set up your stuff. Hmm.... I was planning on bringing chair bows but I would feel bad making someone leave to do that. Maybe I will still bring the table runners though... I don't even know. My FI keeps telling me that we don't need decorations b/c the place is so beautiful... hmmmmm I want to see the reviews too! I just uploaded these to vistaprint as free flyers! That way I do not have to waste my ink and the paper is nicer. Just a suggestion, I cannot wait for them to come!

Hello! I wanted to do the key cards on thicker paper, so I ordered vistaprint oversized postcards with half of it as the key card holder and the other half a book mark. It is similar to cardstock and very colorful! They just came in today and I had to use my paper cutter and cut them in half but they look awesome. I am SOOOOO excited! I chose the sapphire package as well. I think it looks beautiful! The reason there are no pictures yet is because it just started being offered in 2010 so all of the previous brides are under the old different packages. Nuttytart- did the coordinators tell you that you would not be able to bring the sashes and table runners? I was planning for the reception to bring my own decorations like MrsEddy, but for the reception not the ceremony. Lily17Bear- could you please post the files that she sent you? The only file I have gotten is the one with the choices of packages, I have not gotten any that are Sapphire specific. I love the way it looks with the shells and blue flowers. I am getting married at the Moon Palace in the Toucan Gazebo, but I am sure it is the same at all the palace resorts! I cannot wait!

Hi, I have natural hair that is REALLY long(down to the middle of my back) and I usually wear a mix of flat twists and braids. My friends and my sis have threatened to strangle me with my braids if I wear it the same way to my wedding! I am getting married in Cancun in August and just started stressing because everyone is insisting that I do something different. I have had the same hairstyle for about 8 or 9 years because it is so easy to do. My hair is very very curly but my scalp is sensitive so that is why I went natural, my scalp was always in scabs from the relaxer. I am afraid to try a weave because of the itching and we are going a full week ahead of the wedding so it won't look fresh. I am glad to find this thread because it has a lot of good ideas. I just wish I knew if they could do a blow out and then an updo, or even half up half down but who knows how long that would last... I would love to just do the usual but I guess wedding should be special! thanks for the ideas keep them coming!

Also I got this file with the standard linen colors- white, sky blue, hot pink, and lime green. It says: These linens are considered standard when a private function is purchased or included under a group contract. The resort has 12 table clothes of each color with the exception of the white linens which can be provided for any amount of guests. asbarret- the lanterns from futuremrseddy's review are around $300 but I want the light up dance floor so I am trying to negotiate a deal. The tiki torches are $10 each and the candle station is $65 each. I like the lanterns but IDK, I like the tiki torches too but I do not want it to seem like Survivor, lol!!! I want it to be a party party and am just afraid that the lanterns would clash with a light up dance floor. Which goes better tiki torches, lanterns, or different lighting? I am debating about the lanterns that futuremrseddy had... is the Tucan Terrace okay without them? They look nice but if the lighting is okay then I will skip them. I am talking to Lily at Zuniga/decocancun and trying to negotiate prices but it is hard because I really don't know what I want! Idk about lounge furniture, lanterns....She suggested this candle entrance station and tiki torches... this is so hard! Here are the pics she sent. $80 for 8 $130 or lanterns or nothing? So far we booked, I have my dress and bm dresses ordered, my FI STILL did not pick out what he (or the GM) is wearing!!! We sent out save the dates, I am not sure when to send out the invites.... I found out there are 3 other weddings on my day so I got my travel agent to call and reserve the Tucan Gazebo. They seem to be more willing to work with a travel agent than the actual bride! We chose the sapphire package, and I am talking with the decor company (decocancun/zuniga) about a light up dance floor. I saw it on one of the Dreams wedding reviews and it is one of the things I really want! I love futureMrsEddy's review, so I think I am going to get the same table runners and chair sashes as her. I like the lanterns but they are another $300 and I don't know if the Tucan is okay without them... Not sure about the centerpieces yet... if I should lug them down or not idk!!! I love frangipani (plumeria) so I ordered my flowers from plumeria's wedding boutique because I have 7 bm and the bouquets are $125 each at the MP. It was a lot cheaper, I still have no clue about centerpieces. I also have no clue about the OOT bags because I need to know how many people are going! If a lot I will get a cheapie, if a few I will get something nicer. My biggest stress is the bookings... I have 38 people going so far but 10 of them are staying off the resort! A bunch of others claim they are coming but have not booked yet (incl. 3 of my bm!!!) What about you jodimichelle, how are your plans coming along?

My travel agent asked which one and we were on the phone so I quickly said the Tucan Gazebo and Tucan Terrace, with cocktail hour in the Tucan garden. I loved Mrseddy's pics! I don't know exactly how many people are coming we are up to 40 so far... I expect about 60 people. Is that too much time in the Tucan section? Is it too small for that many people to dance? HELP!!!!
