So the countdown continues. I had my shower on Saturday and it was amazing! So many of my friends came and wished us well. The presents were beautiful, the food and drinks were amazing! My MOH and BM did such a wonderful job and made me feel so special! I am so happy I registered, because I did it so long ago, I had forgotten what I had on there, so when I started opening presents I was like, ooh, this is gorgeous! And my friends were like, yeah, you picked it! Ha! So it was a nice surprise and I loved everything! I had a few cocktails, so that could have had something to do with it too. Tomorrow is our legal ceremony. It will be very special! I am in a training program and my instructor is a Reverend and she is marrying us! So that will be really amazing and hits close to my heart. My parents and FI parents will be there. Then we are going to lunch! We leave for Mexico next week and that will be our real wedding day, but I must be honest...I am just as excited for this one! Is that weird? Thanks for everything girls! I have to thank Tammy and all the Mods for this amazing site! My day is finally here...well, legally! Mexico is next week! And I am just giddy! I still have lots to do before we leave, but right now I am just enoying the moment. Hugs to all the girls who haven given me so much great advice and support. You have helped in so many ways. I just want to share my excitement! Thank you so much ladies! It is so funny how you can feel connected and be friends with people who you have never even met or talked to, and yet there are so many of you who I consider friends. Thanks! Bess

Yes, we did...this was a fun thing to do. I dragged FI to Crate and Barrel. It was a moment to see him squirm...haha, actually it was really cute to see what he liked and he kept me grounded. I didn't really expect to get anything, but I have, and at least I was able to pick stuff we like. I can't hurt. If people want to get you something they can..if not they won't. My girls are throwing me a shower and we are having an AHR...so it made sense to do it for us.

My dad's birthday was last weekend...and with Father's day this weekend, so I did the combined gift too. I went shopping at Kohls. He always needs new clothes, since the only time he gets them is when I get him presents. So I got him a new pair of Khaki shorts, a polo, a nice button up shirt, and new swim trunks. All for him to wear in Mexico. And just the summer in general. He loved it. And I spent about $80 since everything was on sale and I had a coupon. Love Kohls!

You are totally fine! This is your wedding and sometimes you need to take control of things. Especially when it comes to booking. When my FMIL talked to her TA, I still was doing research and found better deals and in the end I had everyone book through my TA. Everyone was happy, they had the option of booking through whoever they wanted, but I just took control and said, "here are the prices, and here is his contact info." We did not get any special freebie deals, so that takes the pressure off. If you want to book, book. Don't feel bad for wanting that control. This is a big deal and you have to feel comfortbale and the arrangements have to work with your other plans. I would not be shy about just saying, thanks for all the info and planning for you fam (especially since they are in another country) but let her know you would rather book with your TA, if that is your decision. You would hate to regret not going with your gut and going with her if you truly want to book with your TA. It may work to have your TA in the States and the other in Canada. It seems they are some variances on travel polices that I have noticed from all the Swine flu issues. This could work to your benefit. Just stick to your guns, but in a respectful way and it should all work out. Hugs! Best! Congrats and good luck!

Did any of you ladies use yout iPod for the ceremony music? What was the set up? Can I just bring the iPod and they will have speakers and a stero hook up, what excalty does that entail? Do I need to bring my iHome portable to play on the beach? She said they have hookups, but not sure what all that means. Thanks! bess

Yay girls! So I think last time I said I was done with everything, and I realized I still had so much to do. But now I think I am getting pretty close...I need to make some lists as I am getting overwhelmed trying to remember everything. I packed all of our wedding stuff like OOT, ceremony, and reception things and it all fits in one large suitcase! Yay!...although still waiting for our Sandframe to come in and my last minute gifts for my bridesmaids. I odered them 2 pearl braclets from Overstock.com...love that place! One in white pearl and the other balck pearl. They are freshwater pearls in elactic so they can be dressed up or down. I have a few of these and love them! My shower is this weekend and I am so excited! My bridesmaids are throwing it for me. I have gotten a few gifts in and feel so loved! My bridal tea was last weekend and it was amazing. My FMIL gave in my honor. I am so lucky to have amazing in laws! Any whoo....we leave two weeks from today. And will be married two weeks from Sunday. Our legal day is on Tuesday! OMG, it is crazy it is here! July is almost here! Congrats my July girls!

I think it is your wedding and you can do whatever you like. If you only want the four couples to invite they are nice to have so if you do decide to give them to your peeps, I am sure they would enjoy the sentiment. And you would only have to get four. Are you planning to send annocements to all friends and family to let them know you tied the knot? That is an option to let everyone know when you were married. Just my thoughts.

Good post, their sale is great! They also have some great gift sets...I got some for my MOH, and BMS for throwing my showers. I am giving them the gifts this weekend. Shop till you drop! I did!
