I printed mine on clear address labels from staples, it was so easy and I picked a font that looked like fancy calligraphy. It saved money and time and it looked great! Good luck!

Oh my! I am from Calgary along with the majority of my guests and I am still waiting for a price quote for Dreams AI for a week but we were thinking no more than $2000.00 per person. I checked out itravel2000 the other day and the October 09 rates were up at $1600.00?! I think its a good idea to check another TA... yikes! Good luck with everything!

oh boy! I was thinking of cutting the OTT bags all together from my wedding?! shame on me?! It just seems like a big expense and I would imagine my guests would bring the majority of the stuff themselves... I think that I could spend the money somewhere else like on entertainment or the welcome dinner. Are they just a nice gesture or is this something that everyone does and people would be expecting?! Ok dont judge, I feel bad and selfish now but I have to make some cuts somewhere...

Welcome and Congrats! I would suggest checking out different reviews on the forum and also look into pricing and figure out which will fit in to your budget better. The forum helped me choose my location and the majority of my vendors too! OoOo also try creating a comparison chart between the resorts and that might help make the choice clear. Lay out the important questions based on what you want your wedding to be like and then you will be able to see which one would be a better choice for you!

Ok so she actually sent me a draft budget last night right after I posted that! too funny! she seems wonderful, I take it all back!!! my wedding is still pretty far out so she probably had a bunch of sooner ones to get though. I am so excited now, I just love flowers!

I got them made by this company in Calgary called Box, Paper, Scissors... its the cutest little paper shop and they do wonderful work! I cannot wait to have my invites made.

URG! i still have not received a quote back... although to be fair, I did have a change of heart and sent a new document with new colors and flower choices but that was back in late November of 08 I think. I guess I have lots of time and I am trying to be patient but I just want to have an idea of what I am looking at for pricing and get everything secured with a deposit in! How long did it take for them to prepare a quote for you ladies?? I feel like I am going off the deep end and constantly emailing to get a quote. Sorry about the vent ses!

Hello! I am another November 2009 bride!!!... My name is Dana and I am getting married on November 19, 2009 in Los Cabos at Dreams. I have been a slacker at work and wedding planning up a storm so… Done n done! -The budget... minus the FI parents contributions, if any! We will see how that goes?! yep we still have to have 'that talk' -Date secured at Dreams resort- Working with Mariana as a WC -Asked all 5 BM and 5 GM with accepts! -Ordered my dress and put deposit down... my heart just skipped a beat I am so excited!!! 6 months to make though. -Save the Dates done and mailed out -Invitation wording done just waiting for travel rate info. These will probably be ready and mailed out for June 1, 2009 at the latest?! When are you ladies sending out the invitations -Bought BM dresses and gifts for my girly's! I got a steal of a deal on coach purses to match their dresses and purdy MAC lip gloss for the wedding day. -Bought wedding day Shoes & ear rings -Waiting for quotes on flowers, cake, DJ/ Trio etc -Booked Photographer- Juan Carlos -Booked Suzanne Morel for hair & Makeup for Mom, BM, and me. -Picked colors... staying pretty neutral with champagne colored BM dresses and white flowers with Orchids (which brings in a hue of pink) for bouquets and then accents in vibrant green (Green Cymbidium Orchids for GM and hanging flower clutters on aisle chairs) Well that sounds like an interesting combo but I have photos, its very beachy and I think it will come together nicely (fingers n toes crossed) -Picked songs for the walk down the aisle, father/ daughter dance and 1st dance. -Picked Grooms and GM destination tuxs. -Wrote vows -Bought thank you cards ToDo: -Book DJ, Florist, and Cake…plus decide on fire dancers and ceremony trio/ guitarist. I need price quotes though!!! -Source out lanterns and blankets for Reception. -GM gifts -Choose menu items and get menu stationary made -Wording for programs -Booking our trip -Buy wedding bands -Wedding day timeline HmMm probably forgetting a lot but here’s the basics! ...So I am a complete baby, I know! But I have a phobia of needles! This creates a problem getting legally married in Mexico. I would love to be legally married there and have our actual date on our marriage certificate but it doesn’t seem realistic when there is no way in my mind I can physically get a blood test. So I guess I am just wondering if anyone knows if there is any way around the blood test or what you ladies did who just did a religious or symbolic wedding?! I don’t want all my guests knowing that I had them come all the way there for our wedding when were aren’t “actually†tying the knot, is there any way they would know if I didn’t say anything!? I am confused, is the religious/ symbolic ceremonies just the same as the legal with a minister and what not just not legal?

Hey! I am also getting married at Dreams on November 19, 2009 and my reception is going to be on the pool terrace. What location are you going to be on because i have not heard anything from Mariana about a dance floor?! How much is it? I dont understand why you would need one unless you were on the sand?! Any info would help me out too! Thanks!

I am getting married at Dreams, pretty sure the allow outside vendors... I just have 5 BM + mom all getting their hair done also by Suzanne Morel's salon so I am just worried about having enough room for all of us in one hotel room. So either we would have to split up or just go to the salon, HmMm... Or did you ladies get your hair done at the hotel by yourself and just meet your BM's after? I think it would be more comfortable being in your own room but half the fun is getting ready with all your girly's. OK I am going to try and put a pic of my hair do below, cross your fingers n toes for me its my first time!

I have her booked too! yay! I am so excited... Whats her salon like? would you ladies recommend going to her or her coming to the resort? I cannot decide. LOL what else is new, it seems like since I have been faced with so many decisions I all the sudden cannot make one! I voted for the white cally lily bouquet, its so elegant and lovely! but not over powering... I think sometimes with the bright bouquets your eye is drawn there first. All are beautiful choices though so either way it will look amazing.

Wow Heather does take beautiful photographs! I am also using Juan Carlos to do my wedding photos and everything I have seen from him is amazing (It was love at first sight for me! lol) he seems to be pretty affordable too compared to some of the photographers. I am trying to decide on this as well! If you can afford to do it i dont think you would ever regret it, its such a fun way to remember your wedding and bring the beach aspect of it home with you. I am still working out my budget but if i have extra money i think its something i would love to do. There are lots of TTD's that arent in the water as well if your feeling self conscious. Its supposed to be a fun shoot and the photographer is going to find a way to get lovely photos. So you decide whats best for you but i am sure no matter what you will look beautiful, so dont worry about that!
