    We're having one as well (MOH insisted). Reason being both our parents got laid off last year so DH and I are now responsible for paying for 7 trips. Plus we're having an AHR. MOH said it will be a fun night, most of our friends won't mind and it can only help us out a little bit in the end.

    Thanks for the info...I guess if he is planning on going to the states any time soon he can forgo the stamping of his passport in cuba

    So my friend's husband was born and raised in the states...moved to Canada a while ago and now owns a Canadian passport. It does state his birth place on the passport.....he should be ok...shouldn't he. I've left several msgs at the cuban consulate but have never received a phone call back.

    I purchased my plastic bottles at Michaels during the summer (haven't seen any more right now). They came in packs of 6 and I used a 50% off coupon every time ($3.45). It comes with the cork and paper. I'm getting sand and shells from a friend and my MIL is getting me labels for the outside of them. I just happened to have ribbon in our wedding colors which I will use to attach the paper to the cork. So total cost $0.58/each plus my time and ink. Have not completed yet but will post a pic when done.

    I just ordered mine (so no pics yet...sorry ladies). Our names are Krista and Josh...our friends named us K'osh (kind of like "Brangelina") So my lawn sign says: "K'osh's wedding" with an arrow pointing to the left and right underneath it says "Josh's last chance" with an arrow pointing to the right. I'm going to stick it in the sand somewhere near the wedding setup. Just used one of their wedding templates and incorporated my colours. Will post a pic once I get it but that won't be for 3 weeks

    Wanted to go to a resort that I haven't been to yet. I wanted a bigger resort so there was variety for everyone. PP seemed to have the most places to eat, drink and a lot of activities.

    So I stumbled on this website this morning and I think it's great. It has all kinds of DIY ideas (Christmas, Valentine, Wedding) under the categories section. Under the wedding section it takes a lot of ideas from other websites, wedding bee, once wed, martha etc. but I still found a lot of neat ideas. As long as my DIY skills continue this website will be handy. http://www.oneprettything.com

    The resorts are a little different so it really depends on what you're looking for. Brisas - Hotel area and Village area. So what that means is 2 pools, 2 swim up bars, 2 buffets. This was kind of nice since you could switch things up a little more. Playa - Is one big resort. This resort does have jacuzzis in gazebos around the resort which were fun at night. Careful if it rains at the resort...ceramic tiles are everywhere and they got slippery. Both resorts had lots of activities, outings and entertainment. Not sure if this helps you any...but good luck in picking a resort.

    I've been to Playa Costa Verde and Brisas Guardalavaca. Both trips were just vacations and did not involve weddings, so I can't really help you on that aspect, but both resorts were wonderful and I would go back to either one.
