Hello Everyone! As usual I need some ideas. I have recently fallen in love with the candy buffet idea. Where have you gotten your candy and dishes from? And what else did you use to make everything come together and look really good?

vlynnw- we actually decided that there must be some bad karma with the dress so i refuse to get the same one elsewhere. My MOH had been having nightmares about the dresses not coming in (lol) or not fitting... or her having a different dress then everyone else because hers didnt fit.... so between that and this place going out of business- we are getting different dresses all together.... I cant take the drama this one seems to bring.

You can also do something about .. together with their parents, or their family...

Thanks for all the good thoughts sent my way today. I totally appreciated it! Ok so my sister went down today to get the refund. He would only give her a check so she took it and went right to the bank the check was from to cash it... it didnt go thru!!! GRRRR!!! So she went back to the shop and demanded cash. It worked! He refunded the credit card purchases back to the cards and we got cash for the rest. Phew! Thats solved. Time to look for new dresses!!! Thanks for listening ladies... its nice to vent to people who understand. My FI cares but its just not the same as you guys going thru the same things.

I think the cost is totally worth it. It will be fun AND make life easier. Im looking into it for the honeymoon transportation to the airport.

Ok... So, my wedding planning has been smooth sailing since day one so I knew I was bound to have a problem... My sister (MOH) called me on Friday evening asking me to check on their dresses and see when they will be in. We want to get fabric to make table runners and we really want them to match exactly. We dont have a swatch in the same fabric of their dresses so we wanted to wait until they are in to match them. So I call the dress store... "Hey, I just want to check and see if you guys have a guesstimate on when our dresses will be in.." the response I get.... "oh yea about that, we probably should have called you but we are in the middle of filing for bankruptcy and your not going to get your dresses. sorry. You'll have to order them somewhere else." I was like umm... ok? "why didnt you guys tell me this?!" she sayd "sorry I just work here"... I didnt even know what to say to the girl... you should have called?? um, ya think?!?!? Fortunately, my wedding is not until June so we dont really have a problem but thats really frustrating. Ok... so I guess I'll come down and get my money back.... she says- oh I cant give you your money back. Your going to have to talk to the owner but hes in the lawyers office filing the bankruptcy... But we are going to get our money back right she says I dont know. You have to talk to him. You can talk to him tomorrow when he comes back. (now I know once they file for bankruptcy they dont really have to give you your money back- we might be out like $600.... ) So my sister goes down Saturday morning because I was working.. and he says oh I'll give you your money back but I dont have checks with me. You can come see me Monday morning to get a check. So, I'm working again and she will be down there at 10am to meet him. Hopefully he gives her a check... and hopefully it doesnt bounce.... GRRR!!! Sorry- that turned out kinda long.... Thanks for listening!

Glad your happy again... everything works out in the end. We all have our battles but if you love each other everything works out..
