I lost my bankcard in Seattle a week ago (thankfully AFTER I hit up Target!) so I am waiting for my new one before I can get round to the stores! Looking forward to hitting the big dollar store...I already mapquested it! I just wish this weather would imprve. I am currently in the process of ordering towels for everyone online at towels4less.com. I'm just waiting on a quote. They embroider them too...I got the info from another DB on here (thanks!). The are a little expensive, but I'm thinking they should be a hit and hopefully will be used in the future for a long time!

That way I know we'll have appropriate tunes, along with saving $1000.

Yoazul...I actually got the idea from past brides (thanks!!!)...they made a GREAT point...everyone will be eating & drinking so well all week long that the meal isn't really going to be all that important, and the cheap meal will taste just as good anyway! This way you can save the money and invest it in extras instead! We saved ourselves over $2000 so now we're going with a mariachi band and I might order it for extra time!

Hi ladies...up until recently I've been wanting my dinner/reception on the beach...but I'm starting to question myself on this now! Is anyone else having a beach reception? Does anyone know about the actual location on the beach they use for the set up and if it's at all sheltered a bit from the wind? And to all those past brides, what flavour of cake did you have? I'm leaning towards Hazelnut...has anyone tried it and if so what did you think? Rtswan...the $12 meal is on page 26 of the Event Kit...Menus 1A & 1B to choose from. We are going to go with Menu 1A and change the soup to a salad.

Michaels is a MUST-- I bought my sand pail "OOT Bags" there for $0.50 ea. there in the summer. And they have a really great $1 aisle at one of ours now. I think I need Ebay for Dummies...I can't seem to find them in bulk on eBay...I need about 40. Would you mind pointing me in the right direction? Thanks!!

Hello fellow Canadian brides! I thought our own post would be a good start for us in finding some great deals on OOT bag contents. I am tired of being jealous of all the great shops our fellow brides south of the border get, like Target and the the Dollar Tree. Let's share with our own great shops from Coast to Coast! I was recently at the big Dollar store on Douglas St in Victoria and picked up $1 crossword and sudoku books, plus I noticed they also had the $1 first aid kits and some other great stuff in the pharmacy aisle. I'm currently looking for Spanish for Dummies, playing cards, bubble bath or bath salts, and individual packets of alka-slezer immodium or pepto. If anyone has any ideas on where to get this stuff I'd be greatly appreciative. Also, I have yet to buy my actual bags...I've been looking on some American based websites and found some great tote bags, but with the exchange rate, etc the cost is slowly creeping up and I was hoping to spend only around $5 per bag. Thanks in advance and I look forward to sharing!

Calling all November 2009 Brides!
beachbride2009 replied to beachbride2009's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
If anyone is looking for a photographer in the Cancun/Mayan Riviera area, I have mine coming from Canada and he has some time available and would be interested in the extra work. He will be shooting my wedding Nov 20th and my TTD the morning of Nov 21, but will be available Nov 17/18/19. If you are interested please let me know by PM and I can send you more details! -
JHarwood...I totally agree. I have already hired and booked a photog from here to travel with us. The only confirmation I have is an email from Nancy before she left last Nov so I sent it to Tiffany to just be sure and get it in writing from her too! About the Zocalo, Tiff said that if we have under 50 peeps we should consider the Plaza Deck, and if 50-70 then go with Zocalo. However I'm not sure if that means that if you have under 50 you can't have Zocalo.

Hi Hoosierfan...I sure hope everything works out for you! My honest recommendation is to move your wedding from the Fives, even if they think it'll be open by the time you are to arrive...who knows if down the road they are even more delayed, plus the Sensatori just opened this past November and had a LOT of opening growing pains...and still are having a few, but by this coming November all the bugs should be worked out. Since you are expecting such a large group of people, I honestly wouldn't take the chance that thisngs will all be worked out and ready for you. This is your wedding!!! I booked the Sensatori back in November for next November, knowing full well it is a brand new resort, but also knowing after one year it will be up and running well, but at the same time still be fresh and new. I don't know about the maximum size of weddings allowed there, but I think they could handle a large one on the beach? What are you thinking of for your day? Hopefully Fabio will get back to you really soon so you can get things figured out! Keep me posted and if you have any questions about the Sensatori, I'm more than happy to help, as would the other lovely ladies on the Sensatori thread!

We decided to not have kids at our wedding, however my FI has so many friends with kids we wanted to think of a solution that would work for everyone. So, after much debating we found a resort that has an adults-only section (for my friends LOL) and a family section, and then for our actual wedding day we told our guests that it's adults only. So some have decided to leave the kids at home with family, some will get sitters at the resort and some are bringing the grandparents on the trip! I haven't heard any complaints at all from anyone so it seems like it's a good solution for everyone!

Hi ladies...I'm a Canadian heading to Seattle next week and thinking about going to Target to pick out some OOT items. I'm hoping if you know what are good finds at Target you could list them for me? I don't have much time in the city and would like to blaze in an out as quickly as possible! And any other store/item recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I'd like to have my mom have a special place in our ceremony, but I can't seem to think of something special. My dad isn't coming and my mom is making a big sacrifice to be there with us. I wasn't planning on having my dad walk me down the aisle so I don't want to do that. We aren't the conventional type and I would love to do something different, interesting, and unexpected. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
