  2. For me, it's these veggie pizzas at Extreme Pita (I'm not sure if it's a Canadian company). Whole wheat pita, pizza sauce, tomatoes, green peppers, banana peppers, lots of feta and mozza. My coworker got me hooked!! Also, we just bought these creamy dill chips...delicious!
  3. I found this link yesterday and I thought, here is something I can do! Instructions for Luminaries Weddingbee The Wedding Blog One of our wedding favors is a package of beach cookie cutters, so I was going to use our set (because I always ordered one extra of everything for me!) as the tempates for the luminaries. We've got palm trees, dolphins, seashells, and one more I can't think of right now. I was hoping to get some orange and pink bags and have them as centrepieces for our reception tables. Anyhow, it's the only DIY thing I plan on doing so I hope it works!

I didn't find the reception on the beach to be worse than any other night for mosquitos. Good to know - thanks! I keep trying to post to your TTD photo thread but it doesn't seem to be working...I just wanted to say thanks so much for posting those photos as my FI is now all over the TTD session! Our photographer is my brother's GF and she is jazzed about the whole thing too! I'm headed out to Winnipeg to visit my MOH this weekend and get her dress (hopefully!) - hope it's not too cold!
  5. Connie, one question I forgot to ask is how bad were the mosquitos when you were there? I've heard that the resort has had a new crop come in with all the hurricanes. My concern is ourselves and our guests getting eaten alive during the ceremony and beach bbq...
  6. I don't think my last comment posted (weird!!).... Connie I just wanted to say thanks for sharing these photos and your pro pics. I showed them to my FI and he is now completely jazzed about doing a TTD session, which initially he was on the fence about!!
  7. Awesome!! Great ideas...I'm so excited for my wedding at PP now I can hardly stand it LOL
  8. Connie thanks for posting these...I've shown your pro pic teasers and your TTD pics to my FI and he is all over the TTD idea now! Our photographer (my brother's girlfriend) is excited about all the ideas the pics provided and loved being able to see exactly where we're getting married! p.s. my mom loved them too LOL
  9. LOL I'm so glad I'm not the only one in this boat!! We'll get it all done girls!

I can't believe how close it is! It's hard to get any work done. I feel like I could do wedding stuff full time. Yes!! I am in the same boat. I am flying out to see my MOH this weekend to get her her dress, and my FI is supposed to be meeting up with his best man this weekend to get pants/shoes (we ordered their shirts before Christmas). I know I'm probably over-reacting, but I feel like this is too last minute!
  11. Old = a broach of my grandmother's that I'm attaching to my bouquet New = my dress! Borrowed = my mom's diamond earrings Blue = my shoes!

  13. I ordered everything through their semi-annual sale and even with the exchange rate and shipping, I think I got some really good deals...I've tried on my new stuff a few times already. My FI just laughs and is like, "another fashion show??" LOL
  14. I love reading these! Here's mine: 1. I hate the smell of frying ground beef. If it's happening in our house, I'm in the other room with the windows open. 2. I love to read and average 1-2 books a week depending on whether or not I get a seat on the train to/from work. 3. I pride myself on my vocabulary skills, but my FI always beats me at scrabble. 4. In high school, I was on the cover of the local newspaper, together with 2 of my friends, enacting a school bus accident for the volunteer firemen to learn how to assess injuries. I had putty (brain matter) coming out of my forehead. It was pretty cool. 5. In 2005, I traveled to Europe by myself for 3 weeks. It was one of the most terrifying decisions I've ever made, but I loved every minute of it. 6. When I laugh really hard, I don't make any noise, which ends up being even funnier. 7. I hated sushi the first 3 times I tried it. Now I love it. 8. In Grade 12, I dyed my hair koolaid red and I thought my grandma would kill me. I couldn't get it out of my hair and had to gradually bleach it out at the hairdressers. 9. I am named after my great-grandmother and a huge pet peeve of mine is when people spell my name wrong. 10. I love banana peppers and will put them on anything. 11. I used to have both my bellybutton and my nose pierced. Now I have neither. 12. One deciding factor in taking the Legal Assistant program was that it didn't have a math requirement (lol awful!) 13. I need to listen to music all the time. Especially at work. 14. Sometimes I sing to my FI instead of talking to him, just to make him laugh. Sometimes he'll do it too. 15. One book I can read again and again is "Pride and Prejudice". 16. I hate to clean and one day want to hire a cleaning lady so I don't have to. 17. If I wasn't a paralegal, I would want to be a writer, book editor, or a tour guide to some cool historical site. 18. I hate to fly...I mean HATE it. 19. I am scared of clowns. All clowns. 20. When my FI and I first started dating, we noticed that we had the exact same tv, coffee pot and knife set. 21. I only eat bananas when they are green and crunchy. The first spot of brown, and it's up to my FI to eat them. 22. I love candy and could eat it every day. That's why we don't keep it in the house. 23. I talk to my mom every day. 24. I eat Wendy's chili with cheese and hot sauce at least 3 days a week for lunch. 25. I am convinced my mom's house is haunted, and even though a few years ago she had her house blessed, I'd still never stay there by myself overnight.
  15. Welcome to the forum and happy planning!!
  16. Welcome to the forum and congrats!! My MOH lives in Winnipeg and I'm going out to see her next weekend...hope it's not too cold!

That's EXACTLY what I'd love to say... Thanks for joining me on my pms train!!

I can't believe we're so close to April!!! It's so exciting!! Oh and I bought a new bikini too!! I really can't wait!! I just bought 2 new bikinis and a ton of summer clothes on sale from Victoria's Secret! I'm so excited to wear my new clothes LOL April will be here before we know it!
  19. Here is the model wearing mine: And here's me: I wish I look happier! My mom was taking a ton of pictures and I was all smiled out!
  20. He's so sweet! I love little dogs...my FI about what our cat would do though. Maybe one day... Congratulations on your newest addition!
  21. LOL I think I do sound like a complete cow! My biggest issue is that my cousin is never one to come to a family function, never one to pick up the phone to say hi, how's it going, etc., or really make an effort and is kind of only available if there's something in it for him. In addition, he owes my mom quite a bit of money which really "irks" me. He's just one of "those" members of the family. I'm actually quite a nice person LOL
  22. Just venting...I don't know if anyone else has dealt with this but my FI and I are getting some mixed reviews from people when they find out we are having a DW and we are just having family and 1 close friend (our MOH and BM) attend. Total of 15 people including us. My cousin just emailed me last week and asked if it was a DW (he is kind of oblivious to the fact that it's in 2 months!) because "he and his wife would be interested"....ok who does that? Seriously, who invites themselves to someone's wedding? I said, yes, in fact, it is a DW and we are only inviting immediate family. He then says to me, well I hope you didn't think we expected you to pay our way...we just thought it would be nice to have a holiday together! FYI we are not paying anyone's way!! I think some people just don't understand that although we are going to an AI, the cost of the wedding, reception, etc. is extra and we are paying for that ourselves, and the cost is based on each person for the reception. Not to sound cheap, but we are not wanting to go into debt for our wedding. A huge reason for having a DW was the cost-savings, and the fact that we only want a select few people there. We don't expect gifts from anyone, especially not from those who are not invited. All we want is for people to be happy for us. Why is it that some people are only happy for you when your good news also means something good for them? Did I mention I'm also PMS-ing?? LOL k thanks...just needed to get that off my chest...
