Okay, question for those of you who already had your weddings, or those who are close...well, or those who have thought about this....what are you doing for tipping? Are you tipping everyone? Officiant, servers, WC, etc? Or just a few select people? Or, should we not really be tipping since it's an AI?

Ana did my STDs, invites and some logo stickers, and she is absolutely amazing!!!

I'm a pink, orange and blue bride! We liked the look of the sun setting over the ocean...that was our inspiration! We got watermelon bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal, and the GMs are wearing bright teal ties and pocket silks. I'm sure I'll find many other ways to incorporate our colors as my planning picks up in these last few months!!!

We waited until we got people's RSVPs, and then when they indicated they were coming, we followed up with each individually to find out their plans. For the people who were thinking about staying off the resort, we let them know all the details then. All of them ended up changing their minds to stay at the resort. The fees and rules weren't worth it. There were very few of those people though - we didn't put anything on our website or offer any option to stay at a different resort, so those that came up with the idea, came up with it on their own.

Ayita! That sounds awful! I wouldn't want to deal with that crap either!!! I don't have any suggestions because I've never been to Mexico...but I'm sure you'll find a place!! I bet your WC will have some great suggestions and contacts and will be able to help you find a new place if you decide to go that route!

Thanks all! And I'm definitely going to PM Tammy to let her know I got it!! I know she's wanting to see it! I'm only paying around 75 dollars for this. I think it's worth it because I decided after reading the what was/wasn't worth it thread to do a really small and simple cake - which would cost less....so I decided to do a custom cake topper!! We will preserve it probably in a plastic box or something after the wedding - I haven't really thought that far ahead...but we'll definitely keep it forever!!!

Sooooo excited! We just got the initial pics of our custom cake topper from Keren Mudahi on etsy.com! It is so wonderful! The only thing that needs to be changed is the color of the flowers, but she said she could do that! I thought I'd share...I know there are some other boston terrier lovers on here that will like it! Our pets are like our kids, so we were so excited to include them in the wedding this way. *screams in excitement* I'm irrationally excited about this cake topper!!!!

Hey Leogurl! Regarding your TA - I'm sorry you're so frustrated! When I was getting ready to do all this stuff, I was really unsure if I wanted to go with a TA or not, so I went ahead and booked my wedding date and time through the MP on my own, before I got a TA. If you're concerned about not getting your date and time, I would go ahead and contact the MP to confirm that on your own. Then, you and your TA can work out the details of a group contract, since your wedding is over a year away and is probably less pressing at this point. I would also talk with your TA about your expectations regarding communication. Maybe it's just an discrepancy in what you're both expecting out of the relationship that can be easily cleared up with a quick chat. If it turns out you have mismatched styles, you'll know you'll need to find a new TA that would suit you better. That's what I think anyways! Good luck!!

Hey Eureaka! Those are the same books I got! They were in the dollar section at Target! I know there is a link somewhere in this forum to a place where you can print off spanish phrases for free though - maybe in the OOT section? I would do a search!

I am using Mpix for my book too - I'm glad I found this thread, I was a little worried about it! Good to hear they are fast too!!

Those are all so sexy!!! I was thinking of not putting a photo on the cover, so it could be out incognito. I am planning on using mpix.com, and I was going to get the black suede cover and binding with gold lettering that says 'A Married Man's Black Book'. Besides, I would love to have him open the gift and see the cover and REALLY wonder what's on the inside!!! Woot!

So...I was just one the palace resorts wedding website, and they've really changed the packages!!! I got to thinking though, does this mean the 2009 packages change? I got the free package for my wedding in July, but does it change to the free package that's up there now? It looked like there were a few changes...does anyone know?

Hey Tina, I did the same thing. I bought some stuff for my OOT bags planning on 50...and we only have 26 now. Oh well. I'm sure some of it I can sell on the forum...I'll have 20 extra of those little spanish books from Target! Sarah and Richard, is that the menu for the cocktail receptions

We are still undecided on doing first look pictures. I really want to do them, because I want to lower the chances of me being a blubbering mess throughout the ENTIRE ceremony, and the ones I've seen I've really loved! Matt is a little more opposed to them...he seems like he'd rather have the first look at the wedding. So I'm not sure what we'll do!
