Oooo! i like that bag. I already bought my bridesmaid's bags, but maybe I could use one...ahem...ANOTHER bag. We need milk, I could say, hunny, we need milk, let's go to Target! And then I could 'discover' a great bag to buy. Good thing Target sells milk now! And our Target has a Starbucks in it too! You're all right. Target is evil! I really shouldn't even spend another 4.48!!

I am a member of the 4 dress bride club, so I guess which ever I trash it won't really matter...but I hear you on not wanting to completely ruin the ceremony dress! I bought a second dress for the TTD, its chiffon, so I thought it would look really pretty. However, as far as the two weeks thing goes, I was planning on asking one of my BMs to bring my ceremony dress back with her instead of hauling it to our honeymoon. Maybe if there's someone you trust to bring your dress back and take it to the cleaners, it wouldn't need to sit around for two weeks! I would be careful with taffeta dresses. My bridal consultant told me to even make sure it's steamed inside out or it could stain. I would call a dry cleaner or go and ask at one to see what they think. I'm sure any larger dry cleaner would have some experience with taffeta or silk dresses.

Okay, so maybe this is a stupid question I should know the answer to, but apparently, I don't!! LOL. So, say after our ceremony we have dinner in one of the restaurants and then decide to have some dancing/reception time. I know we have to pay for the sound system, but would we have to pay to use the space? How much would it cost to have a bar set up? Would we have to pay for like a cocktail reception even if we didn't want food? Does anyone know?

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks! Erika Hey Erika! I've heard both the gazebos are pretty, but the Tucan has a longer walkway. I know I'm supposed to be in the Tucan gazebo. As for the distance, I know they offer the golf cart transportation, so if you stayed at the Bugambila gazebo, it should be okay!

Tina, under general wedding information there is a section with to dos in it. It's the first link, but I can't remember...the traditions and to dos maybe? Anyways, I just clicked through there til I found a few and I'm working on making my own based off of those!!

I'll have to check my contract. That would suck. I was so excited. Although, I remember while back they put me in touch with a WC about food prices - but she never responded to any of my 4 emails. I hope she isn't going to be considered my WC...that was literally back in December...

Marie's Moon Palace Review 04.02.2009
nibsmom replied to DWandMJ's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Woot! Congrats Marie!!! I'm so glad to hear that you rewrote the ceremony - I think I will too. Eeps! Your pictures are beautiful!! I so wish Cecilia was doing my TTD!! -
Okay...so this freaks me out a little bit. I'm so glad I found this thread. I would have had NOOO idea. I don't know why I didn't even think about this kind of stuff! I guess I figured if I would have trouble with customs, it would be coming BACK, not going THERE! I guess I better start finding all those receipts....

Hey Ladies! I'm a July bride too! We are getting sooooo close!!! My dress came in two days ago and I got to go try it on yesterday! Luckily, I don't think I'll need too many alterations! I also ordered my shoes. I really want a birdcage veil - I found a shop down in IL that I think will have plenty to try on! I'm working on a pre-trip brochure for all of my guests this weekend so they will know when their final payments are due, what activities are available at the resort, the wedding weekend schedule, and what to expect at customs! I'm nervous about customs! I was just reading all these threads about needing receipts for OOT bags and stuff and EEK! Sooo close...I'm starting to freak out a little bit!!! I need to sit down and do a for sure to do list!!!

Separate Honeymoon
nibsmom replied to KLaBate54's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
We are leaving the Moon Palace the day after our wedding and heading to Excellence Riviera Cancun! It's really close to the Moon Palace and should be a nice upgrade for our honeymoon! It looks gorgeous there! So excited!! -
Jennifer, I'm sure everything will be fine!! There are actually tons of to do lists posted around the forum - I would check them out to make sure you're covered! I've been working off one or two I've found on here. There are also great packing lists! I'm so jealous of you and Camie - leaving so soon! I'm starting to get really restless excited!!! 2.5 months to go!! Eeps! *picking up my dress today!!*

Ugh, this is awful. Another dog food problem! I have a Boston Terrier and he has always had stomach problems, and we tried so many foods! I have him on a raw diet now and he's doing amazing. He's really slimmed down too!

Hey Mel! My wedding is at one, and I have some of the same concerns. I'm think I will have a cocktail reception between the ceremony and dinner, and then have the reception earlier. I don't really know what your hotel is like, but I've talked with a lot of my friends and they don't think it would be a big deal to put a gap between the ceremony and reception either, since I'm at an AI. There will be plenty of things for people to do, and I can always put my dress back for the reception! Good luck!

JustUsTwo, I really like that box from the container store!! I'll have to see if they have one that's bigger!! I wouldn't even have to wrap that! Woot! ...I'm kinda a bad wrapper.
