Aw, Tina, what a nice story!! It is starting to get really emotional now, isn't it, as we're finalizing our sand ceremony and our vows and all that! I'm getting really excited and nervous all at once. I get really jittery sometimes about all of this, because between all my 'parents' - step and biological included - there have been six divorces. I've never seen a successful marriage, and I get really freaked out sometimes that I'm getting married. My whole life I always swore I wouldn't! Anyways, I wish I was going to be down there to peek in on your wedding!! I won't be there until the 14th!! I'm sure it will be sooo beautiful!!

I bet you probably can! I would imagine they would understand if you wanted to get on the carriage in secret!! I'm beginning to wonder if I want to do the carriage...knowing my luck, I'd freakin' fall out of it!! Has anyone had any experience with the cocktail menus? I was wondering how easily they let you swap items out. We really like the Mexican menu, but my fiance REALLY wants to the ribs in the international menu...lol.

Thanks Ladies for the info about the keys! I think I will get the coil bracelets and then attach an ID tag to it with a wedding logo sticker. That way, they can keep their keys handy!

Tina, I know we've been talking about this a bit via PM, but I'm also having similar issues with the time of my ceremony. Ours is at 1pm. So, if we can't get our ceremony moved up we are going to probably do this: 1 - 130 - Ceremony 130 - 230 - Pictures 230 - 4 - Bride Touch Up Time/Informal gathering at the bar for everyone else 4 to 6 - Cocktail Hours with food 6 to 9 - Dancing, Cake, Tosses, Dances, Speeches We've heard that the cocktail hour has enough food that we shouldn't need to do a dinner, so I think we are going to go with that. We are planning on using our free reservation for our welcome dinner the night before. I would totally be fine doing away with all the dancing, but my fiance's family may die if we don't do it!! LOL.

Hey all! For anyone who's been to the MP, are room keys actual keys or cards? I was thinking of getting those coil bracelets to put in my OOT bags so people can put their keys on them - does the MP already hand anything like this out?

Hey Tina, I actually just came on to post about this - I double checked and I emailed Kalena on May 7th! That's 2.5 weeks ago - I'm REALLY frustrated. I think I am going to try to find out how to request a different wedding coordinator - and no, I've never heard of anyone saying they have had her. A few months ago when I tried to contact her I was told she was out on vacation for several months - not sure what's up with that, but I'm feeling pretty heated right now!!! Let me know what your TA says - I am either going to email Maribel and ask how to request a new WC, or call the resort. I really don't want to deal with this kind of stress!

MsLeBlanc - Thanks for the well wishes! It's a sore spot - it's been over a week and a half...a few months ago when she was first assigned to me, I never ended up getting a response from her. I sent her seven emails over the course of a month! I ended up calling the resort and was temporarily assigned Maribel, but apparently now I have to talk with Kalena again. I'm feeling pretty crappy about it. Anyways! We are getting married legally down in Mexico - I don't think a symbolic ceremony would really have that same feeling for either of us. So, we are going to make Mexico the real deal - blood tests and stuff don't really bother us. And, how cool to have your marriage license in Spanish! Wooot!

We still have sooo much to do, and I feel like half of that I don't even remember half the time. I need to make a list, LOL. I have my first dress fitting one week from today though - so that's SUPER exciting!!!

I would recommend just bringing a few people if you're going to bring them at all! I found my dress shopping alone, then later I brought back a bunch of my friends to see it - it worked better that way. No pressure! I would suggest using the salespeople for what they are worth - I am a two dress bride, and both dresses were suggestions of the sales women at the stores I went to - ones I probably would have never tried on if left to my own devices! If you feel like they are pressuring you into buying, go somewhere else!

I know...it does seem like a lot of us are getting married in July! It's coming right up! We have all our stuff - right now we are just finalizing vows, the ceremony wording, the sand ceremony wording, and we're STILL trying to decide if we're going to have an AHR. We're also working on picking music. Trying to decide if we're going to have a formal reception in Mexico or not....*sigh* so much to decide. I think I'm going to add hangover kits to our OOTs! Still haven't heard back from Kalena - I think it's been a week. NOT. Happy.

We have a website, but like others, I find people don't really check it that often. I had brochures made for free off vistaprint.com, and mailed those out. They included a general packing list, information about dress at the resort and wedding, going through customs, payment schedules, and info about the wedding timeline. A few months back, we did postcards with info about payment deadlines on them - again, we got them for free off of vistaprint. I heart vistaprint!
