  5. Hello! I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you are able to find an answer soon, so you can have peace of mind. I'm sure that it all will work out in your favor. I don't mean to sound cynical, but being from Panama, I can tell you that rules can always be bended with a little $$ in hand....
  6. Same here ladies! I have my photographer, my boss and a few other friends that are also traveling solo. I included in our wedding website that sharing a room would save $$ and to please send us an e-mail and we'll help pairing people up.
  7. AMAZING!!!! You guys are gonna have a great time. So are you set and ready to go?
  8. & congrats. Best of luck with all your planning! ~Susana

I really don't have a preference to on or off the strip, I just don't want it to look like a set wedding or backdrop (No offense to Vegas weddings). The online pictures of Emeralds look very nice...I love the long aisle with the fabric wrapped trees and lights...very picturesque. I hope I can plan a trip out to scout some locations and finalize a venue. I would like to go to the Bridal Show you and FoxyBride were talking about. Anyway, thank you so very much and any information that you can share is always appreciated. No problem! I'm curious about that place, so I'll stop by to check it out sometime after the holidays and I'll let you know what I find out. What you are looking for in a wedding is the same idea I had when I was planning on having my wedding here. Later my fiancee and I decided to make it into a DW to Mexico, since that's where he was born. You'll find lots of alternatives in Vegas that don't have that set wedding or backdrop feeling. It all depends on your budget... Check out the following places. They are similar to Queensridge Welcome to The Ritz of Las Vegas JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort, Golf and Spa Summerlin, Nevada Anthem Country Club - Photo Gallery Red Rock Country Club - Weddings & Special Events This is the CC in my neighborhood. It's nice, but I know when I called for a quote it was so high that I immediatelly forgot!!! But it was so long ago that prices probably changed now... Las Vegas Golf Course Homes: Southern Highlands Golf Club & Community BTW if you are ever in town and you need help getting around to look at venues. Please let me know... I love all this wedding stuff and since we are having ours in Mexico, I don't get to experience wedding planning at it's best. ~Susana

We couldn't remember the name of the street and got lost- and it began POURING! Luckily a jeweler let us in his shop while my new hubby and GM got drenched looking for the bus. Anyhow, my point is that there are a ton of van cabs in PV and that is a great cheap option. Thanks Amy! I completely agree. After getting a few quotes with "gringo" prices, I decided to play by ear and not over think it. Since, we are planning on getting there a few days before all our guest, we'll try to hire/rent a couple of vans or make friends with van cabs drivers (work my charm ) to try to get a good deal... Thanks, ~Susana
  11. Best of luck tonight! I haven't had my first fitting yet, but I think about my weight and the dress everyday! If it's only a few pounds you should be OK. My BFF drop a lot of weight the last two weeks prior to the wedding because of the strees... I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy the moment and have fun! Are you going with friends or family? ~Susana

Yeah, I heard about the deals at the hotels in Primm. I was thinking about spending a Sat night there and staying till Sunday... hey it's free. Do you know if the outlets out there are any good? I never been to Primm.

Schools are closed for tomorrow and no flights are leaving nor arriving at the aiport....
  15. Just wanted to share with all of you THAT IS SNOWING HARD IN VEGAS!!!!! I'm so amazed... I've gone snowboarding before in Tahoe, but I've never seeing when the snow is actually fallling! I think I'm gonna cry.... ~Susana
  16. Welcome and happy planning! How exciting!!!
  17. Welcome! & Happy planning... It's gonna be awesome
  18. I drive past Emerald at Queensridge every Friday on my way to soccer and from the outside it looks beautiful and it's in a really nice side of town. If you need me to stop by and take pics and scope the venue I'll be more than happy to do so. I'm not sure if you are looking for something close to the the strip. Queensridge is located about 15-20 min away from the strip. All of the hotel/casino/resort in the area are practically giving away the rooms, because they are trying to attract visitors. The economy is hitting the strip hotels really hard. It all depends where you want to stay. Just let me know. Take care! ~Susana

She moved so fast that I was a bit shocked, but still managed to grab 5 off the display before she got to them. She gave a "a look" to which I responded with "a look", and then she ran to the register to pay for them. I don't know what this person's problem was . . . but whatever. I asked a sales associate to check in the back to see if there was more and thankfully I was able to get another 10 from the stock room. So I now have my 15 totes for my guest bags! Yeah!! That's funny! that's exactly what happened to me... except the person I was dealing with was grumpy senior and her husband! I wasn't sure how to handle them... At the end good things happen to good people! even the associate at the store noticed the attitude from the couple and thank me for being patience! It's amazing how some people act during holiday shopping!!!
  20. This is exactly what I was thinking of doing.. Thank you! AmyRak: What did you ended up doing for your OOT bags - tags?
