But does it work for YOU ? For what I know, before/after can be just photoshop... this boudoir lady website has the same before/after but it's all electronic Looking for real life-real persons testimonies here ! So, how is it working for you ?
  2. Just a quick word on quick candles ! Votive Candles | Floating Candles | Tealight Candles | Pillar Candles | Candle Holders Because I was super impressed. I was looking for floating candles to put in the ponds of the hotel. Well, not only do they have the best prices I found on the internet (I did not look long so there might be better... still for floating candles they were GREAT), but I ordered yesterday night at 11pm, and this morning at 7:30am I received a notice that my order had shipped... for the regular ground shipping of 12.98$ !! They have all kind of candles - for instance : 72 votive candle holders and 72 votive candles - 40$ !! Or just the votive candles : 144 for 35$ ! Even Ikea cannot do better... so for your home not only for your wedding ladies
  3. I am using an outside WC. The hotel had one but she quit... they hired a new one but not quick enough for me (I was left a month without a coordinator and as you can see, my wedding is drawing near) plus I did not want to take the chance that she quit too and have nobody for my wedding !!!! For now the WC I've been working with (for like, a little over 2 weeks) have been super responsive. In 2 weeks time we have been able to almost set up the whole thing completely, just now tweaking the details like - flower cones, floating candles, making sure the chairs will be there on time or finding another supplier... Some of her prices were much higher than what the hotel was proposing, and some were actually much lower. So overall I'm even, apart from her fee - lol - that is a bit . But this is the price that I was ready to pay for my peace of mind. I did not want to take the risk to have nobody on my wedding and having to run between the different suppliers !! My experience has been good so far. What I suggest is, wait until my wedding (in 5 weeks !!), I will be able to actually review her whole services ! As I said she's pretty efficient so no worries about the time...

Where did you order from ? I'm so sorry that this adds up to your stress ! But if it can comfort you a little, alterations might not be that difficult. You have to find a good seamstress, somebody that is recommended to you. Best bet, call the top-notch salons of your area and ask them where they would send their bride (if they don't have their own seamstress). Mine was recommended by my salon. She told me she needed no more than 2 weeks and I have my next appointment on April 11th (I leave on April 28th...). She says she'll have ample time, and it leaves me some time to shed a few more pounds... I dropped nother size BTW Today I went shopping (was looking for a dress for the welcome cocktail, ended up with a dress for work) but it was a size 8 ! Yeah !!!
  5. I don't know yet so can't vote, but pretty sure DH will be too drunk !!! As the song says...

There was a response but I can answer again they are from The Havanera Co. and I got them at JC Penney (in store, not online). In Houston they are currently on sale (have been since already more than a month).
  8. Have you looked at the David's bridal on sale ? That's where I got mine. They have lot of styles at 99$. If you see a style you like but not your size, check every day or every other day. They have returns. That's also how I got mine (ordered 21 days after I first bookmarked it).
  9. I have the same issue... I am thinking maybe giving them bags at the welcome cocktail... if they are not coming to the cocktail (their hotel is... 45 min away !!!) well then they won't have one.

  12. We included a packing list in the pre-travel brochure, and in the items not to forget, we put "wedding attire" and as an explanation (after semi-colon) : natural fabrics cloth, sundresses, flip-flops, and in parenthesis, leave your jackets and your ties at home !
  13. 5 WEEKS BEFORE I LEAVE !!! OMG I need to finish this ceremony ! And all the DIY projects !! Excited ! AND I'm just in my... how do you call that in english... "woman time" ? YEAH I'll be FREE in Mexico !
  14. Bonjour et bienvenue sur le forum !
  15. I love 52 because it has the belt in the right place and gives you a great silhouette. But I would alter the neckline into a sweetheart because all the sweetheart necklines of the other dresses look better on you.
  16. OK, one more from OTC. 5$ off any order on 25$ or more until April 30, 2009. MARBB09
  17. I have received a bunch of coupons from House of Brides. I don't know, however, if they will work if you have never purchased with them (on the mail it says "use for your next purchase" but nowhere does it say it's not transferrable, as Alfred Angelo's ones. I checked the terms and conditions of the site and saw nothing). So, here they are : 5% off wedding dress S222 5% off bridesmaid dress S223 5% off bridal headpiece S224 15$ off mother of bride dress S225 5% off flowergirl dress S226 5$ off bridal shoes S227 5% off wedding accessories S228 5% off lingerie S229 all for online purchases. Cannot be applied to prior purchases or in combination with any other special offer.

Really great inspiration.

We are finding that this really cuts down the options! You should not cut down options for this ! If you get a shirt that is too long, just go to your tailor and have it shortened. DH did that for 2 of his shirts and it worked out pretty well. Also, weddingtropics do all their shirts customized (everything : length too !). You really take all the measures and really get a custom shirt. They ahve good stuff you should check it out !

They are all linen and the pants are draw string. Very good quality too, I must say.
  21. We got married legally in February. We are going to use that date as our anniversary, as, even if it was only a small thing, it still meant something for us, it's the first wedding date, and also, it was 2 days after Valentine day and it will be easier for DH to remember.
  22. Errr.... I know it's a silly question but would anyone know ? Thanks !
  23. There we go ! We found DH's suit this week-end : Not sure yet about the shirt... linen for sure, but debatting the color : white ? Darker pink ? Purple ? And here are what the groomsmen are wearing : And the ring bearer We also have a best woman but I don't think this thread is appropriate for dresses, lol !
  24. Well, if you're looking for a job just to help you for now, there's the census... it's a two years job. If you don't work in the field it's a regular office job except you don't really have week-ends... but it's everywhere in the US. US Census Bureau 2010 Jobs Main Page

Ready for your fitting !
