  2. Oh yay, my new favorite thread! I am a nutty dog lover and here is my dog child Otis. He is a 3 year old lab mix, about 75 lbs. We adopted him from the Denver dumb friends league when he was 10 weeks. He still looks so much like a puppy that people ask all the time. Here is his puppy pic: Here is Otis now: Otis and FI Evan:
  3. I love these dresses! You should have no problem selling them.
  4. Like my overly formal mother always says: " Send a thank you immediatly upon recieving the gift"
  5. Try looking on this thread also: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t36562
  6. There was a very similar thread to this one: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t36562
  7. I also just wanted to not that they have huge dog beds for $19.99 at costco, which may end up being as cheap as making your own.
  8. Most brides do the trash the dress session on a different day after thier wedding so that they ar enot aking that time away from thier guests or getting wet.
  9. OHH, I love this thread and I am not even a maggie bride, but her dresses are so pretty and look great on all of you BDW ladies!!
  10. I also have what I like to call "short neck syndrome". I think it has to do with my big boobs, that by the time I get a dress that covers up my cleavage to a respectable level I feel like there is not a lot of room between my neck and dress, etc. So I do not plan on wearing a necklace at all, I think a choker would even break it up (makin neck look shorter) so I plan on just selecting some earrings to elongate my neck hopefully. I have to ask this on this thread also, do you thing hair up or down will make the neck look longer?
  11. Here is the link to jetsbride's dress for everyone to see how pretty it is: Melinda - by Maggie Sottero

  14. Okay I moved my ceremony to 4pm because I thought the light was great for Melissa's wedding and hers was about the same time of year.
  15. Andi, how much did you spend on the rhinestones? and where did you buy them? Thanks!
  16. K - you can also email Jerome to see if he can work with you on giving you something else instead of the sutff that is included with the Dreams pacakge.

Oh, Abbie you were reading my mind. I have been thinking the same thing over for my wedding. I do love the look of the raffia fans in photos and think it's beautiful. But ultimately am leaning towards just using card stock as I am not sure the raffia fans would be used again by my guests, cost, and easy of packing. But it may just come down to cost.
  19. Okay.. Number 1 - your dress is beautiful, it is such a special dress and I am so happy for you. So on the bustle- I tend to think that a french would allow the designs to show best but with out seeing it in person I really don't know. The consultant the bridal shop mentioned that then the bottom of a dress is fuller, you need to make sure a french bustle is not making the butt area look bigger. So just take pictures from a coupld angles while the are holding it to make sure you can see what it looks like is my best advice.
  20. I have been loving Franks Redhot Sauce for like a month, I want to put it on everything. Wierd I know. I have even been dipping veggies in it.
