  1. They look great, I have been thinging of doing this, but i am still on the fence, just for the fact of how to get it down there.
  2. OMG, I want so many things Shamwow the hair buffer thingie We did get the chopper, ronco knives , magic bullet blender, the ped-egg, mighty putty, and hercules hooks. The only thing we liked was the magiv bullet blender and the hurcules hooks ( make no mistake these are not "easy" to get in the wall but work none the less.
  3. Length of time also is the factor for me, 3- days live out of suitcase, 4+ days, I hang stuff up put in drawers etc. Anything to pretend I "live" on vacation And a little that I am a "nester"!! LOL

Our cocktail hour will be from 4:45 to 6 with dinner at 6pm, reception til 10. Yes!! I did find at one point in my countless hours of internet wedding planning a site that tells you the sunset and I remeber it being just after 5pm for Cabo on Nov 6th. so saltocoach- i would make sure you are not ending up getting married in the dark I also liked Melissa's pictures in this thread and she got married in cabo in nov this past year. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33405

I have my ceremony planned to start at 4:00pm in Cabo, with Cocktail hour from 4:30-5:30 and we will be taking photos at this time with our photgrapher. He suggested starting the ceremony aty 4 or 4:30 for the best photographs. I also found this thread helpful: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33544
  6. Juan takes the most amazing photos and you and John looks great as well. I am dying to see the slide show.

  8. Amy everything looked amazing, and you looked so beautiful in your dress. How did the TTD go, did the dress survive for the most part? I am still debating on using my real dress.
  9. I would love to know the dress codes as well, I saw on the website that they do not allow flip flops in the dinner restaurants, is that true? Also past and present dreams brides: for thos of you who used there resort for hair. mani/pedi did you book your appointments in advance thru the WC or did you do it when you got there? Any info would be a big help. thanks!
  10. Wow that is one CRAZY day that you guys have planned, either way after the BD shoot you could be so excited you wont notice how tired you are.
  11. I think you should skip the necklace, the dress is very detailed and beautiful on its own. Earrings could go with stud or simple chandelier. I also think a simple elbow length veil will be beautiful, I am not sure if you need a birdcage.
  12. Sorry, I did not compare the 2. So I dont have much info on the PV Dreams. Jess has been to both I believe and got prices on both, you may want to PM her, or check out the PV sub forum.
  13. Abbie, those pics looked great! He did a good job! Thanks for asking this Deanna, there are lots of good ideas here.
  14. Oh , I love the stuff on the website, I am so excited to see your stuff.

  16. I tried it once and loved it in both areas, but I ran out of $$ to continue
  17. I had my TA, Tammy (host) from this forum, confirm my wedding date with dreams for me as she negotiated my room block contract, then the Dreams wedding coordinator contacted me and I sent her a $500 deposit for the ultimate package, If I remember correctly we could do a wire transfer or send a check to thier bank holding (we sent a check to thier bank). Then I had to send a seperate deposit for my room block to the travel agency via a credit card auth form paid to the travel agency. I was doing this about 12 months out. As for the refundable deposit sorry I am not much help there.
  18. Welcome Koolatta and Parissa!! I still feel lost each day on what I am supposed to be doing and planning

Our "plan B" will have to be another Karisma hotel if we decide to stick with the Fives - but we're limited by our wedding size and the fact we have my FI's niece and nephew (10 and 2 yrs of age) that will be traveling with his sister and brother-in-law. As I look for alternative resorts, either they are adults-only, don't accommodate a wedding our size with private reception (75-100 guests) or just don't have the "look" that I have envisioned (now that I got stuck on the Azul Fives). Anyway, I'm panicking and my FI is trying to calm me down! The good news is that I bought my dress today - so now for the place to wear it. I know November is far away, but I don't know if I can go another 8 months unsure of where we'll be married! UGH! Hoosierfan I am so sorry for this additional stress. Please let us know what happens with the TA.
