Laser Eye Surgery - anyone's experiences?
Erika J replied to Alyssa's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
CARLY!! CONGRATS!!!! I am so happy for you! My entire family has gotten lasik and they are loving life. It is so much easier to be active, esp for skiing and windsurfing. I guess the "paraopt" as she said above is that there are risks to all surgeries, but for well over the majority of people are completely fine and change their lives for the better! I am sure people who have poor eyesight have to weight the risks to decide on lasik but for my active family and friends who have done it, it has been a very freeing experience. YIPPIE so happy for you! -
wow...what a great day! Bought my dress and booked resort

That was truly a beautiful dress on you! Great decision! -
K so i havent posted here in a long ass time, but the for those girls who need support for the ladies, I HAVE FOUND THE BEST TANKINI TOP EVER!!!! The stupid lands end one was horrid! I also did not like my newport new suits, and halters hurt my neck way too much from my boobs, but this one is amazing! It has extra long length and you can create rushing or pull it down when you are hanging out. The girls are perfectly lifted and fully seperated, so no wierd gross sweaty butt cleavage. I wore it in maui daily for 3 weeks and it still looks great and supports well. | Athleta I got in solid black and then picked up a hot pink pair of bottoms from walmart and it was super cute.

So, this may not be relevant to you, but they just started buiding these a few blocks away. E and I went to look at them and we LOVED them, the 2 car garage and the space usage was way better than what we bought, we totally would move if we could afford to. Anyhow they are selling like FREAKING hotcakes. Denver, CO - New Homes - Stapleton - Paired Homes a KB Home Community

Kristy, i would still look, your idea of buying and affordability could be much different than mine.

Cap Hill- it is def more central, city ish, but walkable to parks. (not affordable to buy, but affordable for renting) Wash Park- not affordable to buy, but renting is fine Lowrey and Stapleton are next to each other and offer very similar life styles, but Stapleton has 3 pools vs lowery zero, stapleton has the dog park (face it, if you move to colorado you veyr well may get a dog), and stapleton is building a rec center, lowry none but they have a nice 24 hr fitness extreme, lowry has a library already, stapleton is going to build in 2012. Also both lowry and stapleton have been built in the last 7 or so years, so there are brand new homes being built to buy or rent and there are newer homes/townhomes to buy. Discover Stapleton | A Sustainable Community Near Downtown Denver The Highlands - can be affordable, it is a lot of turn over, used to be kinda ethnic and is now turning very yuppy, so depends if you fix up your own house it is affordable, if you bought one with a lot of work done it can be a little more, but there are a ton of duplexes and townhomes.

Thing to know every suburb in Denver metro area is less than 1 hour to the airport. But everything is also 30 at least to the airport since they built the new one so far away from downtown. I think you would love Old Town Arvada if you are set on a suburb. It has a ton of new restarurants and shopping. a little old town area. Andi lives over there and can be more hlep. You are west of the city and closer to the mtns, also closer to Golden and Boulder, if one of you finds a job there, the commute is certainly eaiser. Another up and coming fun western suburb is lakewood, specifically the Belmar area. There are also a lot of jobs in the Denver Tech Center (DTC) this is south of the City about 20 minutes. If you end up working down south, a lot of young professionals also live in the area and there is tons of eating and shopping (Greenwood Village, Centennial). I do caution of going too far East, seems like if i have friends who move out there, I never see them again, but it all new, lots of new stores and stuff, and the houses are newer and less pricey. I am more of a city girl myself. I just like to be very social and a lot of the stuff I do is near and around the city. So I like to option of being able to take taxi's home etc when I need to. But remember the city = Denver... not a big city that you are used to, more hum drum and not crowded. My Fave Neighborhoods: South- Wash Park West- the highlands Central-Capital Hill East- Park Hill, City Park, Stapleton We live in Stapleton, which is acutally in the city of Denver, but at the eastern edge towards the airport. It is where the old airport was that they tore down and put up a brand new neighbor hood with a town center and it is big on land usage so that the houses vs park space. I absolutely love it. I work in the DTC (south) and Ev works in Boulder (NW) so it is centrally located for us. These are the things I can walk to from my house: 3 pools 3 tennis courts dog park town center which includes (5 rest, coffee, shops, curves, salon, yoga, grocery store, drug store) Free concerts on every other sat night (BYOB) Free outdoor movie night- everyother sat (i dont go, kinda kid oriented) sun morning farmers market last sat of the month- sweet william market (antiques and crafts) annual beer fest skate park rock climbing wall amazing miles of paved trails thru open space. Sun nights in the summer is free Jazz in the park ** Anyhow I love stapleton and like the mix it has of suburb but still in the city.

50% off Bouquet Jewelry!!!
Erika J replied to slapsappyhappy's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Oh, I got my jewel from there... the Letter "J" and it was 30% off and very pretty, so 50% off is great! -
I did the ipod thing for the Welcome dinner, and then DJ for the reception. Although the Ipod was fun for the most part and def easy, sound was good too, some of my firends got drunk twards the end and changed the music around, only one inappropriate song that I was able to catch before the older generation noticecd. But it was irriated. I loved having DJ Ricardo the next night to take care of everything and always asked me if a song was okay to play when people requested it. It was also super professional, had a team of people as well.

I would be very wary of this idea. Wedding photographers train for years (and some still dont get it right) to capture the right moments from the right angles in the right light etc. Additionally they spend the time cropping and editing the photos so they are just right, and have a trained "eye" for doing it. My other concern is do you think you can have enough people to take the serious pics you want? Or on the flip side, do you think some guests will go too far and be roaming all over during the ceremony trying to get shots? Or you have a bunch of shots from your guests vantage point of sitting in thier seat? I just think back to all my lovely friend from this site, and how I anxiously await FB pics to show up and just get more excited for the pro pics, cause you can see what the bride looks like .. kinda.. in friends pics, but get the "feeling" of the wedding from the pro pics.
