Hi- My wedding coordinator at Dreams is recommending a guitar harp duo for the ceremony music and coctail hour. I love the idea of it think it will be cute. My concern is that she quote me a price of $350 per hour. Is this a normal price? Are there other similar vendors you recommend getting quoted from? I just want to try to make sure I am not getting ripped off. Thanks!

that is the strangest thing I have ever heard. I have always gotten invites for the weddings I have been in and intend on sending invites to my BM's.

My FMIL family is mostly in Maui and my parents were not exicited about having the DW there. Due to the large amount of them being there and so few Haolies (us). So we settled on a more nuetral DW in Cabo. So for the Maui fam who can't make it(flights are $1500.00 alone and it is farming season for them), FI and I decided to travel there for a few days of the honeymoon (about 6 mo after wedding) have a family BBQ. We will then island hop for some alone time. Nothing for an AHR acutally back at home in Colorado.

I have been to cabo in March, at it was COOL at night,it seemed like one the sun went down the breeze picked up. We would wear pants or if you wear a dress we were wearing jackets. I was most recently in Cabo in May and the weather was PERFECT day and night.

Stay hydrated. This acutally helps with the pain. Really it is not that bad, regular wax level of pain. But soooo worth it!

I would have to guess just the hotel stay would be $6K to $8K per night at Dreams for 40 people.

The room rate vary by the time of year. So a Travel agent may be able to help you best and book you as a group to negotiate a lower rate. I used Tammy (Host) from this forum with wright travel agency. I booked about 11 months in advance but I am sure that you can book closer to the date I am not sure how far in advance they will go, but I am sure that a travel agent can help you. They can also negotiate some extras, like free nights for a site visit and upgraded room for your stay.

I read in Cheese Diva's review that she did a mexican themed buffet and all set up by Mariana and she gave it a good review. I am doing the buffet dinner on the beach for $29pp. There are 3 menus to choose from for the buffet, Mexican, Caribbean, and Barbeque. I hope it turns out nicely.

I decided to just do a nice bag and have that be the gift itself. Then pashminas at the reception. Do you think this will be enough?

No I haven't. I am somewhat procrastinating, and I have no idea why. My WC at Dreams Marianna recommended him, and his work on his website looks fantastic, but I would love to hear some bride reviews, see some examples (beside the website) or see some pricing before I commit.

I was looking at the envirosax. They are reusable grocery bags in relly cute , fun and tropical patterns. The alos zip down onto itself for handy transprt and cute to hand out to guests. One site had sets of 3 you could buy and then 15 % off and they were like $5 each, not sure if that is too much. I also saw a cute idea on the forum to place maracas at the table with a little tag that said to shake it for the bride and groom to kiss, instead of tapping the glass.
