We decided to go with Rose Hall Resort & Spa in MB. Jaime, I have some ideas. Maybe we can share costs on a photographer, decor, favors, etc. What are your wedding colors? Have you chosen favors, are you doing OOT bags? What time is your wedding? How many guests will you have? Maybe we can speak over the phone to discuss? Please send me an email at [email protected] and I can send you my phone number or you can send me yours. -
Any other brides for Rose Hall Resort?

Lucky for us they have our date (Aug. 14, 2009) and time available. I am wondering if there are any other brides out there who are getting married at the Rose Hall or have gotten married there and can give us some feedback. I am so glad that I've found this forum, there is so much helpful information and great ideas!! Thanks so much!! ~Jaime Hi, Jaime. My wedding date is August 14, 2009. Same as your date. Which resort did you decide to go with? -

Hi, Jamaica Brides. Username: uspoiledme Name: Mary and Kraig Date: August 14, 2009 Place: Iberostar Rose Hall Guests: 75-85 -

I will take TONS of pics of the entire complex, it's so frustrating trying to figure all of this out with out going there...I convinced FI to take me there for my birthday! Right now we are torn betweent the resort we had booked (which is a brand new small 30 room resort in Negril) and Iberostar. Way more people have RSVP as Yes than we thought & that resort could not hold them all. Hi, Sparkles. It's awesome that you have an opportunity to go to the resort prior to your wedding! I was supposed to go with one of my BFF's the weekend after you are going, but I don't think that it's going to work out. Anyway, I'm really excited about the Iberostar Rose Hall. I admit that I can be a bit of a hotel snob and as a result I have over-analyzed every resort in Jamaica, Mexico, and The Dominican Republic. I have finally settled on Iberostar Rose Hall. I've heard really good things about the staff, resort, and beach. I like the proximity to the airport, the fact that they allow children, but there aren't Sesame Street characters everywhere. I love the fact that the resort is new and has more of a modern flair than other resorts in Jamaica. I finally, after six months of research, set my date. August 14, 2009. I haven't found very many wedding pictures that were taken of weddings there. Have you run accross any? I was also wondering if you have been successful at negotiating lower prices? I'm just getting started so any info. that you would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. - Mary

What is the sand ceremony

I have found tons of wordings for couples but not many for when a child is involved... especially with a non-bio parent... Thanks! Jenn I am thinking of using something like this as part of my ceremony. You could probably tweak it to make it work for a sand ceremony. Children’s Vows: Do you (Groom/Bride) take (Child) as your own, promising to love him and care for him, providing for his needs, both physical & spiritual. Groom/Bride replies: We will. Do you (Child) accept (Groom/Bride) into your family? Do you promise to love and respect him/her as your step father/step mother? Child replies: I do. -
I just thought about the fact that you will have two anniversary dates! How cool!!!

I never thought about using sand from the wedding location. That's such a good idea! I was just going to buy some from Michael's. -

Does anyone know which site has flash available on more than one page? -
I don't like the sound of my first name with my FI's last name. It's really boring and sounds like it would belong to a really old 4 foot tall librarian who has tiny little glasses perched on the tip of her nose! I definitely want to keep my last name. Wow! Now I have to add one more thing to my list of cons. LOL Just kidding.

How romantic! A secret between just the two of you. I'm starting to consider the option of getting married before going to Punta Cana, but I have such a hard time keeping secrets!

Wow! $5 with engraving? That's a great price! I was thinking of going with an invite that had a 3 dimensional starfish, but the quotes that I'm getting back are outrageous! I finally got an estimate of $10 per invite (still out of my price range), but I had received prices as high as $20 each. Has anyone run across better pricing?

EdenH Real Arena Brides Post Here!
uspoiledme replied to twinkletoes's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Hi, I finally got in touch with Elizabeth, the WC, at Edenh Real. She has a couple of dates available, but we will have 75 guests and are paying for a private reception. In addition to the pricing Elizabeth says that to have liquor at the reception would be an additional $10 per person per hr. That seems extremely expensive since my guests are all staying at the resort which is already all inclusive. I'm hoping that there is a miscommunication. Has anyone received pricing for liquor at the reception? If so how much was it? -

Those are the two resorts that I have narrowed it down to. -

Thanks for the info. Leia. I am emailing her right now! -
Hi, Jessica. I really really want to book Edenh Real for my wedding but I have been emailing the wedding coordinator every day for three weeks with no response. I have requested available wedding dates, times and pricing for a private ceremony for 75 people, but she I still have no answers. Any ideas on getting in touch with her?
