My husband and I got married at the Valantin back in November and it really was amazing!! Ariadna and I still talk now. She is the nicest, sweetest person you will meet. Please be persistant in getting ahold of her, I can tell you now with all the weddings she does, she doesn't have much time to be in her office. She will attend all weddings, and make sure everything is okay, down to the smallest detail. Really, you will not be disappointed. I don't know how to post pictures on here. But if some of you want to post or message me your e-mail addresses I can send my professional pics to you. My husband also created a short slide show for our reception here that I can send you. We went with Claudia Rodriguez wedding photography - again we were not dissapointed!! Please let me know what anyone needs and I would be happy to share : )

Hourglass sand ceremony?
Hoopchic replied to Peachy~Girl's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Update on my last post about the hourglass from Heirloom Hourglass LLC. . . sorry it is a couple months in coming due to a family emergency. We did receive the hourglass with 2 days to spare. Let me tell you first that the hourglass was amazingly beautiful and worth every penny we paid for it. The ceremony was beautiful and the hourglass made it that much more special. I see people saying they don't know if the money is worth it. . but honestly it truly is. We didn't have to worry about the sand shifting or spilling out of the vases on the plane and it is just beautiful sitting on our table. If your on the fence about paying the money. . do it. .you will be glad you did in the end. As for the customer service. We did have issues getting in contact with the company. When we finally made contact, we were told that they were not receiving e-mails from my husbands comcast e-mail address. However they did start responding to my e-mails after a couple attempts, and did respond regularly. However, none of our phone calls were returned, so if you do order, I would say that the best way to make contact is via e-mail. I don't know how to upload pictures on the site, so if someone tells me how I can or if someone would like me to e-mail pictures, I would be happy to. -
Hourglass sand ceremony?
Hoopchic replied to Peachy~Girl's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Hi Peachy~Girl We ordered an hourglass for our sand ceremony just over 5 weeks ago. . unfortunately they were very quick to take the money via paypal (that same night) however the customer service is very bad. For every 3 e-mails we send we are lucky to get 1 response and we have made 3 phone calls and have gotten no return phone calls. We leave for our destination wedding on Nov. 11 and have no idea when the hourglass will be ready. . .let alone will even be shipped!!!! I will give you and update next week to let you know if we even get it. You would think with the amount of money you pay for an hourglass they would have good customer service!!!! We are starting to worry that it might not even be a legit company. Congrats on your engagement!! -
Congrats to Graciela, Hailadam and Soon2bePowers, and anyone else I may have missed! Sounds like everyone’s wedding was exactly what they wanted! I would love some tips and advice on how to plan. My wedding will be at the Valentin on Nov. 14th. . .and I haven't done any planning yet!! I am starting to freak out. . . but have been so busy with work that I haven't had much time. Now with only 4 months, I don't even know where to start. I also can't seem to view any of the links that people have posted! Can anyone help?! I would be grateful for any tips, checklists or opinions!! I think we will only have about 20 people so not sure that a private reception well be money will spent, especially because we are having a reception at home! HELP PLEASE!! My e-mail address is [email protected] if that is an easier way to communicate. . .

Thank you so much for responding! Did you have everyone book through your travel agent. . .or any travel agent they wanted. Here is exactly what my travel agent said: Here's what we need so that we can confirm with the Valentin: To booked this, just ask and I will send out the first form: a Booking Form. (I told her to send this!)Once you sign the Booking Form, I will issue a group contract,Your group will have 10 days from the receipt to get me a deposit of $150 pp. Need to guarantee a minimum of 10 rooms - 1 set of dates. (If you don't have 10 positves yet, which I'm sure you do, you might want to put the money out and they can reimburse you. 10 rooms would not be that difficult - just family alone.) I already filled out a form. . so not sure what this new form is! How did you guarantee your day without doing all of this? Do you think I need a new travel agent? The frustrating this is I talked to 2 travel agents. . .and one said 150.00 per person and anothr said $50.00!!!

HELP!!!I am ready to freak out and just don't know what to do. I am being told by my travevl agent that inorder to have my wedding at the Valentin and to guarantee the date I have to put down $150.00 per person with a minimum of 10 rooms/20 people. On top of the $800.00 deposit. Does everyone have to do this. I have been trying to reserve the date for over a month now and don't seem to be getting anywhere.. HELP!!!

Why is finding a dress so hard!!!
Hoopchic replied to cdc0427's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I love the Alfred Sung (with the ribbons) That is one of my options as well!! Good look with your search! I am sure you will be a beautiful bride no matter what you decide. Congrats! -
Hello Amyrak - Congratulations on your marriage!! I loved the pictures you posted! They were beautiful. Did the on-site photog take all of the wedding pictures? How soon did you start planning your wedding from the time you booked? I know I still have some time. But if the terrace is as beautiful as everyone says, I would assume I should make that request now? Thoughts? I don't want to wait till we get there to plan everything. Do you have menus or flower selections. . .or anything else that will help in my planning? Thanks for any and all help! Kristie

Hi Brides!! I have been to Moon Palace twice. Once for vaca and once for a wedding. It is beautiful!!Bugambilias and La Gondola has awesome food. The hotel photographer takes very good pictures too. There are 2 sections to the hotel the older which I think is called sunrise and the newer sections. Both sections are nice, however the sunrise (older section) is closer to the beach and has better views. The newer section is farther away and the views aren't as nice but I thought the resturants were better. Either way, it is a great place to have a wedding!
