    I love how jewel tones stand out on the beach and we've been inspired by the bird of paradise. Our colors are a royal purple and orange (similar to the flowers below). For a classier look for our invites we chose a muted purple with a copper color. Now I just have to figure out if I want orange or plum table covers...

    MonicaC, Amazing pix. Thanks for sharing. I'm so thankful for all the pictures in the conference room. It looks like there is one wall with a lot of picture windows. Everything turned out beautiful. How did alcohol work? Did servers bring people drinks? Also I saw a rope/lasso during the ceremony, tell me about that tradition and why you chose it. Thanks

    Meghan, We went through our travel agent who contacted the WC and found out available dates within a couple of hours. It seems to be a lot easier to communicate through our travel agent. Also all my guests are going through our travel agent so I don't have to organize anyone. As for the time of year, I googled usual weather for those months. I don't remember Jan or April, sorry. I chose May because kids are in school so there will be less people at the resort.

    Amazing pictures! I love the ones on you and your husband by the lagoon and beach. I really appreciate the pictures of ur reception. They help me envision how my decorations will look. What size were your table cloth overlays? And how long were your chair bows.... How about the ceremony decoration? Did you tell them what you wanted or did you leave it up to them. (sorry for the double post but I figured all the DPA brides would want to know too)

    randp8910, Have fun! If you go to Dreams PA check out what chairs they use? As for dress shopping, go for it. Just don't buy "the one" for at least a month and keep shopping around to make sure. Whose our next DPA wedding? Alli?
