Video Gallery - The Ellen DeGeneres Show I KNOW.. serious. Anytime someone "returns" from leaving early, i always think the producers planned it that way ahead of time. It's all soooo staged. I get so angry at these reality shows, but I still can't help but watch them! What's wrong with me? And I can't stand Ali. But I'd probably still watch if she was the next bachelorette. Boo me. Tenley was my favorite until last night...How many freaking times are we going to hear that the last guy she was with was her ex-husband?! I think the only reason why he's going to pick Vienna is the sexual chemistry they have...there is no way it will last. hahahaha. That was hilarious when he was dancing with Gia. But I'll hand it to him -- at least he had the guts to do it on tv. Although I wouldn't want to be seen like THAT. Tenley Ugh. I agree. Her ex-husband thing is so overplayed. I can't stand Viena cuz she's too young to be in a serious relationship. She still sounds like she's in high school -- but I can see why she's attractive -- kinda cute. But really, ladies, how serious are these "Bachelors"? I'm not sure if Jake will end up having a Bachelor wedding on ABC next year with any of these girls.
  2. I agree. #1 caught my eye since Maggie released it . It's gorgeous on you. Not everyone can pull it off, if you want to be sexy on your wedding day, go for #1!
  3. hmmm. I agree with everyone above. You asked her to be in your wedding, knowing how she is... and I know you love her and accept her for who she is, sooooooo... If she is your "dear friend" then you should be able to ask her to tone it down in front of your family. Play up the fact that you dad is a minister and that your mother is "a prude" and that you'd love it if she can just keep any sexual jokes to herself during the ceremony and reception and any other time she's around your parents. there's only so much you can do. I was an MOH for one of my friends and one of HER BMs was annoying as hell, but I put up a good front up until the end of the wedding night, and never talked to that BM ever again. Your other guests will do the same. They will put up with whatever antics may come up (for your sake) and it'll just end up being a funny story for everyone to tell months or years later. Besides, you'll be so busy with other details of the wedding that you probably won't even notice. hope things work out!
  4. Thanks for the lead on the tungsten! My FI's always wanted that over platinum or gold.
  5. I agree with Julie. For the first one (which is looking better than the first shot), add drop shadows to your yellow font ... maybe texturize it so it stands out more. the font at the bottom for the location and date are difficult to read, and maybe use something like a serif font or All caps... Other than that, great job!
  6. Love the STD design! as far as WC, they're still going through some crazy stuff. I got a message from one WC, but from another WC's email address. So it's probably best just to call them directly.
  7. Good idea! WOnder if different cake choice (other than the one from our package) is extra. Compiling a list of questions for the WC. I'm also thinking of getting an event coordinator to deal with all this for me. It's still far in advance, and I'm already starting to get stressed over these details, and waiting for info.
  8. Wow! Looove these ideas! The moving fountain would look like the Bellagio Hotel's fountains in Vegas. Can't go wrong with that! What about a Gobo of your monogram/names in the pool, with pretty lighting? Just in case someone doesn't know what a gobo is, here's a link: Gobos, Custom Gobos, Wedding Gobos, Gobo Projectors, Glass Gobos
  9. dislike (lose $$ every time i try) broadway musicals
  10. I'm soooo glad this thread popped up! Didn't know there was a "LOST" fan base here. This is the BEST show on tv right now! I love where they're taking it! Sawyer looks better every season!
  11. I'm bumping this old thread cuz I need to find dark brown chiavari chairs to rent in Cancun. I haven't heard back from EM Weddings, or Euforia yet. Does anyone have any leads? The ones listed on this thread have the gold/white and silver Tiffany chairs. Dark brown or mahogany chiavari chairs out there? Or... dark brown chair covers (not my favorite alternative)... *crossing my fingers for some feedback!**
  12. Nat!!! I don't know if i'll fit into a 0-2 in Maggie (but my measurements are the same). I'm getting fitted in March at my bridal store for Maggie dresses. If yours is still available in late March, contact me!!!
  13. If you like the beatles, what about "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys Or "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John? On the cheesy side, there is "My Daughter" by Loudin Wainwright III (the song plays in the closing credits of "Knocked Up" -- looooove it) I'm the same way, my dad and i aren't into sappy, but maybe you'll feel different when the song pops on?
  14. Lolo - you're so funny. I did the same thing, when I became a Jr Member, then a Full Member... i think we're competitive that way. Thanks for the referral. I actually have a San Diego photographer, who is up and coming --- let me know if you're interested. She is trying to break into the Destination arena (but she already travels across the US for weddings, just wants to do a lot more international gigs). Amazing photos and even more amazing prices for the quality of work (and trust me, I'm super picky on quality). Melissa McClure - Destination And Southern California Wedding Photographer She is waaaaaay cool. Looove her style.

I am still deciding on putting a 50% deposit for Sol PHotography this week, cuz I thought i was out of options for photographers in the area. Moments that Matter's work looks great. I love your photo of you at the wall w/vines! Gorgeous!
  16. Great info ladies! Now... how was this set up at the resorts? Was the staff able to do this for you? At what price? I'm almost thinking of hiring a coordinator in Cancun to take care of these decor extra for me, since i feel like the resort is going to let me down in the decor department, since I want to bring some of my own decor...
  17. I'm glad this review got bumped! Sooo pretty. Love the pics. Thanks for sharing!
