We want to get married at this hotel only because the chapel is so gorgeous. Unfortunately, they only conduct catholic services there, and so I will have to check with our pastor here for a note to get married there. I just heard from Susanna, the WC for Real resorts, and I have a bunch of info if anyone wants to send me a message to forward. but most of the info is online. Also there is another thread here with a bride's experience on her visit to the site for her 2010 wedding later this year (she posted her own pics in that thread). didn't sound promising, but only because she got a bad WC, and I heard a WC named Kimberly is good (from that same thread). I will post more info as I get it.

Yikes. I was just narrowing down my resort choice to the Gran Caribe (only because the chapel is gorgeous and it's less expensive for our guests than Le Blanc Resort). I might rethink this resort, but that chapel just looks too gorgeous to pass up. I may have to tell my photographer to do a bunch of quick shots of me walking down their "aisle" ... Good luck!

We are toying with the Pedegral villa idea too. Those villas you are looking at are gorgeous on the web site. I've never been, but there is a wedding website on the knot where a bride got married in Pedegral -- that's what got me looking at the villa venue -- you can't beat the PRIVACY for the wedding ceremony... but i was worried about it being tight (space-wise) with everyone.. Are you staying with the rest of your guests in the villa the whole time? Hope we all learn from each other on the villas!

I LOVE the second dress! I just started the planning process, but I think i might end up with 2 dresses ... plus you got a killer deal with the first one, so you can justify the 2nd purchase!

My only concern is that it's a "quiet" hotel, and that my guests may get bored, but my fiance & I are the mellow types, so this sounds and looks like a place we'd enjoy... Thanks!

Hi everyone! My name is Giselle and my fiance and I have been planning to have a destination for years. But life slowed down our plans, but now we're back on track to make the plans for Late 2009 or early 2010. I've fallen in love with the idea of Los Cabos but we haven't decided which venue. I'm thinking of doing the private villa (Pedregal) thing but I still want to cruise this forum and do more research. Jamaica (Negril) is our second choice -- but it's so far from where our families live, and I'd hate to have the older family members sit through a long flight from CA. Anyhoo, I'm open to any suggestions, and I look forward to learning from everyone here!!!!
