So, I thought I would share with everyone this Wild Rose detox I am doing. I know that there is some controversy with doing a detox and everyone has their opinions on if it is really needed or not, I just thought why not give it a try. I did the same detox about 2 years ago but cheated alot and never completed it. This time I am on day 7 of the 12 and feel great! The program focuses on combatting Candida (yeast) colonization so while there are pills and stuff you have to take there is also a strict diet. No diary, yeast, flour, sugar and all the rest of that good stuff. It is really hard cutting out that food but the longer I go the better the cravings get. And you can eat as much as you want of the food on the "can eat" list and get really creative with your food. I lost 5lbs so far, my skin is so much better and I feel more alert. I know that it has alot to do with the diet though too. It was a great kick start for getting in shape and starting a routine

I so agree with you Abbie! And BeautifulBrideToBe, I am thinking the same thing about my resort after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and it sometimes gets me worried. I totally love the site and think it is so helpful, but like Abbie said I think it all depends on the person and what type of traveller they are. For us it is our first time travelling to an AI resort "down south" and at least now we somewhat know the standards for what to be expecting. I know that we'll be content and happy with getting married on a beautiful beach, culture, drinks, family and we'll take out of it what we can. Have you ever tried the forums on Tripadvisor? I find them much more helpful than just the reviews because it is typically people who travel there often.

I only just found this thread! I am an April soon to be bride too! I am feeling nervous, overwhelmed and all that stuff with the amount I have left to do. I feel like my mind is always on the things that have to get done but I am just going around in circles and not actually completing anything! I think I might actually work better under pressure, so I know some how I'll get it done. So exciting though!! Soon ladies, real soon!! YAY!

Would you still consider other regions of Cuba rather than Varadero like Holguin? We also had to have the deposit for only 10 people, I can't remember how much time she gave us but it was more than 7 days. I also found aircanada vacations website to be very useful when looking for a destination, and then we used the price from the website to get a better deal from our TA.

Welcome Taylor! I did the same thing and "over-researched" and became so overwhelmed! For us we had to consider who was going and what we were actually looking for in the whole package so we finally picked Cuba. Things will get easier though and more fun once you choose a spot. I am from Labrador and with the windchill here it is -42 today (and expected all week),so I totally know what you are saying about looking forward to going to a warm place!
