  1. Both look great, so if you are thinking that you want to go blonde then go for it!
  2. No worries - my day is coming in April and I still don't have my OOT bags done! I have everything for them (just about)but just have to do the iron on transfer monogram and organize everything. I got mine from cheaptotes.com, the 99 cent ones, and they are exactly what I was looking for. I do think though that there are other threads with OOT items, you might want to try a search.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I thought I would spend about $600 max on a dress and that if I tried on so many that I would find one I liked for that price. Sure, I tried on lots that I liked but nothing that I felt was "me" or made me feel special. The dress that I ended up buying was one of the first I tried on, I tried on dozens afterwards but came back to this one - and it was double my budget I thought the dress wouldn't matter that much to me but it really did and now I am so happy with the dress I bought. I spend way more money then I wanted but in the end I am sure I would have spend that extra money over a few months without even thinking about it. If you can afford it and you truely feel that it is "the dress" then you should go for it - when will you ever get to wear such an amazing gown!

Welcome to the forum! Your date is just a couple of days before mine and coming real soon Enjoy the rest of your planning.
  7. We finally got FI's outfit while on a wedding shopping trip to St. John's. Every place we went said that their summer stock will be out in a few weeks - too bad we weren't going to be there in a few weeks:) Anyways, we did have some luck and went to a men's shop (Byrons for those in SJ), they had some last summer stuff tucked away. The pants are a khaki thin wool (which is actually really light weight and breathable, great option for those who don't want linen), they were originally $255 and on sale for $85! We also got his tie there, originally $125 on sale for $55! We did have trouble finding an offwhite shirt but finally found the shirt and belt at Moores. Shoes came from Spring. In the end I am really impressed with FI. First he said he wanted to go real casual but once he got into shopping he realized he wanted to something a little more "spiffy" and picked out a great outfit. I will post a picture of the full outfit soon
  8. I don't really think that a sash would work too well because it does gather on the side. Like others said, I would try to get it brought in more in the waist area and I think that would work great - it is a beautiful dress!
  9. Thanks jackobelle for the offer I just think I must have miscommunicated with them because they never did email me back.
  10. Wow, stunning dress and you look great in it! I think the bustle suits the dress perfectly.
  11. Awesome fans for a great price but I don't think they ship to Canada
  12. You can try etsy, I just ordered my earrings from there last night.
  13. Thank you Ladies for all the comments and input WindyCityGirl - the dress is Mori Lee 2215. It was one of the first I tried on, dozens followed but I knew this was the one.
  14. It looks like you had a blast and everything went great! Congrats, everything looked just beautiful
  15. So, I got in touch with Roly - the local Varadero photographer and he had sent me some pictures of other weddings. While the photos were great, a great price and he was totally nice I felt that I was going to still look around. I found another professional photographer who is now based in Havana, and emailed back and forth with them for a while. They were very accommodating and understood that I had a specific budget. While they did up a package specifically for me and emailed me the forms to fill out. I thought the package was great but wasn't sure if I needed so many hours on the wedding day because we aren't doing a reception. Anyways, a week later and before I filled out the forms I emailed them and asked if is was necessary for that many hours - but still said go ahead and email me the paypal request for the deposit. The next day they said that they were no longer available for my wedding date I emailed back and asked if it became available then please let me know and asked if they were still available to do a TTD in Havana the following week (which I was so looking forward to) - I haven't heard anything back. So, I am disappointed and kicking myself thinking that they just got fet up with me. I feel stupid and think that maybe I shouldn't have asked them to reduce the hours but I really didn't think I wouldn't need so many. He was a great photographer and I am wondering if I handled everything (the communication) wrong?
