We are having our ceremony at the beach then cocktail/reception at the garden. I had wanted the gazebo for the cocktail but it was already reserved. I guess it is you! Where are you having yours?
  2. oh my goodness...they're spectacular! they're definitely worth it by going in the caves...i would be scared too!
  3. Looks like you had a FAB time!! The pictures are just...wow!
  4. Brides who will be getting married legally in Mexico: I was confused with all the legal requirements so I asked Kimberly for some clarification. She said if the couple are single then they only need passports and don't need any other kind documentation except the tourist visa and blood work done at the hotel. If the couple are divorced, widowed and etc, then they need more documents like a birth certificate. Hope this helps!

We'll be having a BBQ chicken buffet with salad and a few other sides. There will be linens and china but its still just out on this covered pavillion. So..casual and a little cheaper, but it will be fancied up a bit with the linens and my centerpieces! That's a really good idea! I bet your guests will love it...a stuffy reception isn't fun anyways.
  7. Thank you ladies for your helpful opinions. I really don't want any drama and I have enough stuff to worry about with my FI. I will talk to my BM about it and suggest that it is only a dinner or something so my MOH can throw the official party and it's her duty anyway. I hope I won't get any grief from my BM!
  8. Hi ladies! I have two dilemmas to deal with. I have two MOHs and 5 bridesmaids. By tradition, the MOH throw the bach party, right? One of my bridesmaids wants to throw me one as well and invite our sorority sisters only. Not all of my bridal party are my sorority sisters, just three of them. Most of my friends are my sorority sisters. It would look odd if I had TWO bach parties and most of my friends are my sorority sisters. I don't want my MOHs to get upset that my sorority sister is throwing me one. I don't want to say no to her but don't want to make my MOHs upset. Another issue is that she wants to invite other sorority sisters who are not invited to my wedding. One of my sorority bridesmaids thinks it's tacky to invite sorority sisters who are not invited to the bach party. What is the proper etiquette for this? If she only invites the sisters I invited to the wedding then they wouldn't probably want to go to my MOH's bach party. I only have maybe 5 non-sorority friends. I am not sure if my sorority bridesmaids would go to her bach party again if they already went to my "sorority" bach party. Maybe a small low key bachelorette party wouldn't be a big deal? My sister is one of MOHs and she is not 21 yet so maybe she can be included. I just don't know how my MOH friend would take it if i'm having a "better" party thrown by my sorority bridesmaid. Any ideas how I can handle this? sorry if this is too long!! thanks ladies!

  10. they're crazy...enough said. lol i can't see myself giving birth to one kid, much less 19 kids! Lol
  11. haha, my FI just told me that his truck broke down. *sigh* looks like we'll be depending on my car. i am telling him to just bury it because it's too old to fix. all of us will get through it! just keep faith.
  12. girl, i feel you! that's the way of life, unfortunately. i wish we all were rich! my FI is unemployed right now so it's hard to save money so we might have to resort to using our cc so lets hope he finds a job by then!!
  13. i am planning to get parasols for my BMs instead of flowers but i am not sure if it's a good idea... is it??
  14. when i heard of this hurricane, i immediately thought "oh i hope no BDW brides are having their wedding this week!" see, i love my BDW girls! It is supposed to hit early tomorrow morning then after that, it should be cleared up but it depends on how fast they get electricity back on. When Ike hit Houston, it took a week for the power to get back for our house. So I am praying that it will be a different story for your resort!!!
  15. I am sorry to hear about that! I wish his parents would grow up and accept. Life is too short to be nasty. Maybe eventually, they'll understand that it is what your FI wants and should respect that.
  16. Girl, it's your wedding and you should do whatever you want. Don't let anyone tell you other wise! If you want to do a TTD, then do it!
  17. i'm sorry to hear about your dilemma. Remember there's always a silver lining in everything!
  18. I've used Expedia for most of my trips. Wow...does that mean I can get some money back??
  19. wow, that's an amazing deal! i hope mine can come through too, haha.
  20. We decided not to do a group booking because i didn't want to deal with deposits and from what i hear, we wouldn't save that much if we went with a group booking. this is why i got a TA so my guests could go to her and get the best deals!
  21. That's why I am saying "please call/email our travel agent when you're ready to book" to every person who RSVPed yes. i don't really care if i sound pushy or anything...that way, they'll know there's a TA waiting to help them out! I HOPE they will go to my TA...that is why I got a TA in first place so I won't have to worry about dealing with guests travel arrangements and she'll get the best deals for them.
  22. congrats and welcome! you'll love this site!
  23. That's a fabulous deal!! I scored a great deal for my bridesmaid dresses as well, they were $25 each when they were originally $50. It's a good time to get bright dresses right now since they're trying to get rid of the bright colors.
  24. There is no rule for having ONE MOH. You can have two MOHs, your future stepdaughter and your friend. I have two MOH, my sister and my close friend.
