Hair and make-up artist??
Lady_Di replied to BellaBeachBabe's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
I have been in talks with Norma and Fernado...they are so extremely nice. I am undecided between them...i wasn't clear with Fernando if his pricing is in pesos or us dollars in his last email. Oops realized that Norma was mentioned in another hair/makeup thread. She works at MAC in cancun and will go to your resort but not sure if she will charge a travel fee depending on the location. I am getting married in playa del carmen so she is not charging me any travel fee. PM me if you want her info/pricing. -
ok, the resort is charging too much for the lighted dance floor and DJ...1,800k in total. f no way. is there a bride that used an outside DJ for a reasonable fee? i got quoted $990 for 4 hours and $350 for the lighted up dance floor from DJ Mania. I feel that's too much. I just really want the lighted up dance floor!

wow, my US WC has been excellent...yes sometimes she takes a day or two to reply to my emails but she always replies to my emails. Her name is Kimberly. There should be a phone number for Angie so you can call her directly...the best effective way to get replies is to be polite and firm. At first Kimberly was taking a while to reply to my emails so I had emailed her and said something like this "i appreciate all you do and i would greatly appreciate if i heard something back on my inquiries. you are one of people that can help with my wedding planning so hope to hear from you soon" Just be nice...of course, if she STILL doesnt reply then you can be a b*tch lol, just kidding. Hope everything works out!

Hope that will help. Quote: Originally Posted by jaxsebridetobe 1) How much is it for day pass? I'm flying in a photographer, but he is staying at another hotel. 2) For the hairstyle and makeup included at the spa - do they have a lot of good make up to use or should I be bringing in my own? And for my hair, if I want a flower in it, do they supply that? 3) What is the Men's Face Saver?... 4) Did you find you needed extra decorations for the Gazebo or the beach reception? If so...does it cost quite a bit more to add to it? 5) Has anyone used the harpist during the wedding? I'm trying to decide if i want that or maybe the violin or saxiphone - any feedback? Also on this - how long do they play? Is it at the beginning of the wedding and then we use our own music for the actual wedding? I know I probably have SO many more questions!! But guess I will go with this for now. Thanks girls!!! There is a discounted day passes for your wedding guests if they mention they are with your wedding. Your photographer will have to pay $100 (vendor fee) and you would have to pay $60 for a non resort guest for your reception if you are feeding him only if you go over 35 people. i am interested about the makeup part...maybe jesmcan can answer this when she comes back from her site visit?

Does anyone know how much it costs to extend the reception past the the 3 hours? I am sure that I have seen this in previous posts but couldn't find it. For the cold hors d'oeurves, do we get an option for these? I haven't recieved any documents on this yet. What is the price of day passes at the Royal for guests staying at different resorts? What bouquets are everyone choosing? I have the picture of the ones that are included but it is hard to tell how they will look like. What about food and cake choices, what is everyone choosing? Also is alcohol included in the price for dinner? Sorry for so many questions, but I thought that you guys might be able to give me a better idea of what I am looking for instead of the WC. Thanks in advance for all of your help . Jennie It is $10 for guests and i think its $15 or $20 for non guests for the extra hour. your WC should be sending you all the documents if you ask. who is your WC? the wedding is free to all of guests even if they're not staying at the resort but if they want to get to the resort before the wedding then they have to pay a discounted day pass...it is $85 from 9 to 5pm and $145 is all day. Again, you should be able to get answers from your WC. She is the one who booked your wedding.

It doesn't have to be private, I'd just at least like for our party (~30 people) to be seated near one another in one of the restaurants. Can anyone offer any insight and suggest the best restaurant at The Royal? Thanks! they do charge for a rehearsal dinner...if you want to have it at Gran, it is cheaper. i dont think they will allow you guys to put together tables unless its less than 30 people.

congrats, ladies! yeah, stop with the tease! tell us alreadyyyy.

Do you plan to stay at The Royal Resort for your honeymoon too or going to another resort or another location all together? well, i will only have 5 vacation days in May so we're staying there for a week and staying at The Royal the whole time.
