Thank you! They will provide the huppa free of charge and you can bring your own decorations for the huppa like the tulle. They will charge like $500 for the huppa flowers. Crazy expensive!

I had ordered 5 table runners but I ended up needing 7 and they were sold out so i had them made by a seamstress. Roo66, I googled DYI ribbon wands. There are plenty of tutorials on it. I used fishing line for my wands!

Raffia fans with Ceremony program DYI Project! My mom, sister and SIL helped me to wrap the handles with the ribbons and assemble the programs. I designed the program. Favors To our surprise, FI has a cousin that lives in Playa Del Carmen and she offered to get us personalized mini tequilas and Mexican candies bags. Personalized mini tequila bottles (for male guests) Pashmina (for female guests) (Of course there are more pashminas) Mexican candies (For children) (No pictures) Music We struggled with the music part. Cake topper A local vendor made a custom cake topper but we did not like the letters she did so FI bought the letters from Hobby Lobby and spray painted them. We are still going with the heart that she made. Monogrammed parasol Bought it off Etsy.com. It took a while to get the parasol because the post office lost my original one so she kindly made another one with no charge. Cake stand and placecards table décor The cake will be between the blocks. Photoblock Got this off etsy.com Ribbon wands DIY project! This will be used when we walk down the aisle. More to come!

Chair sashes There will be a white overlay on the chair. Table runners I don’t have the table runners with me. Mom took them so I will use the one that I took a while ago but ignore the candle holders. We will not be using them. There will be a white overlay on the table. Tulle For the huppa. Centerpiece The florist will provide centerpieces as rental. It will look like this but without the trim on the end. They are crazy expensive! Menu frames A DYI project. We will have one frame at every table Luminaries We were going to do placecards but decided not to because the food will be same among guests. They were going to be table numbers but we put our initials instead. We will be putting a pink LED light and some sand in the luminaries to hold them. FI did this on his own. I couldnt do this. Rehearsal dinner outfit Women's dresses - solids & textures - Solid embossed Lorelei dress - J.Crew Bridesmaid dress & sandals I paid for their dress/sandals. They were both $20 and $35. Score! I told them that they could alter the dress to their liking. Bridesmaid jewelry They will be wearing their own jewelry as long it’s silver. Bridesmaid gifts I kind of went overboard with the gifts! FI mask He will be wearing this for a bit at the reception once dancing starts. Can’t wait to see the pics! FI TTD outfit Hair Trial I had a hard time deciding what I wanted so I enlisted FI’s cousin’s fiancée for help. She is also a hairstylist. I loved the end result so I asked her to do my hair on the day of the wedding. She will be going so it works out perfectly! I even had clip on hair extensions in! Makeup inspiration I have thought about this long and hard. My color theme is a cool tone but I look better with warm tones so I decided to go with browns for my makeup. I was a bridesmaid for my cousin’ wedding over the summer and I really loved my makeup. It was done by a MAC makeup artist. I will be having a MAC makeup artist from cancun doing my makeup and bridesmaids as well. Here are a couple of pics from my cousin’s wedding. Wow, it’s my turn!! Wahoo! It feels like yesterday that we started planning back in July. I absolutely LOVE planning journals. I’ve looked EVERY thread here! It was such fun doing my planning thread. I am sad that I am done. We are leaving on Thursday. Eek! Where did time go? First off, I have to give tremendous thanks to Tammy because without her, I would not have the help with my wedding planning in a far away location and created friendships. Special thanks to my SB ladies, Royal brides, and May brides! Thank you for putting up with millions of my questions/vents! Without further ado… How we met We first met at a club back in 2000 or 2001 through a mutual friend. We danced together for a bit then I never saw him again until 2004 at Texas A&M where he was attending about two hours away from Houston. My sorority’s chapter at A&M threw a party one weekend. At the end of the night, a sorority sister introduced us but I was too tired that I passed out on the couch. Talk about first impression! A few months later, we ran into each other at an outdoor event in downtown Houston. He came up to me and my friend. He told me that he recognized me and we figured out that we met at that party at A&M. He is in a fraternity that my sorority has worked with a lot. We said our goodbyes then went on our ways… a week later, we bumped into each other again at my chapter’s banquet. That night, we hung out and I gave him my number. We hung out over the summer. He had gotten out of a 3 year relationship so he was nowhere close to being ready for another relationship. After a year of “does he like me or not??”, we made it official in summer of 2005. We decided to split up in 2007 but got back together 7 months later. Engagement We decided to buy a house but before that, I told him that I did not want to buy a house with him if we weren’t going to get married. So we were closing on July 23, 2008. He asked me to meet him at the house so we could go together to the closing then go back to the house. So we went back to the house and the key was not in the lock…turns out that our realtor had the key. I noticed he was acting very weird. I was standing front of the house while he was going to the back of the house to see if it was open but he came back and it was locked. He looked very nervous then he got down on his knee. He signed “will you marry me” in American Sign Language. Poor him, his hands were shaking! I was pretty shocked because I never expected that! Of course I said yes. I think he wanted me to cry but I didn’t. Haha. I was just too shocked. He was supposed to propose once we got in the house. The ring didn’t fit me so we had it resized. So it will be almost two years since that day. A long engagement!! Wedding website First thing we did was to set up the website! Modify it to your wedding plans. Travel Agent TA Jennifer from BDW is our TA. Wedding Ceremony & Reception They will take place at The Royal in Playa Del Carmen. We picked it because it had its own sister resort, Gran Porto that allowed children and more economical for families. I love it! Colors/Theme At first, I wanted hot pink and orange but FI didn’t like it because orange reminds him of University of Texas Longhorns and he is a Texas A&M alum so it is hot pink, black and white. I really wish I thought this process thoroughly because I kept changing my mind as you can see with the STDs and invitations. In the end, it is hot pink, black and white damask. The end result matters, right! Lol. Save the Date I made this on my own. I wanted to create a beachy STD to get people in mood for a vacation. I ordered the magnets on VistaPrint. Great site! I also ordered starfish envelopes.
