I was able to confirm the date. i did see the decor/reception pictures they send you and i've also some research on trip advisor aswell. what travel agent are you using? are they putting together packages for the guests that allow them to make payments?

Hi Lauren84, I have been completely clueless about Jellyfish Restaurant until now, which baffles me because i have done nothing but research resorts/wedding locations for the last year. The place looks beautiful! i was originally planning my wedding at Gran Bahia Cayo Levantado in Samana, but I am seriously considering canceling it there and moving it to Jellyfish. Do you have any information on the packages they offer that you'd be willing to share? Can give you email address if you'd like. As far as favors, i was going to do a welcome bag and skip the favors. i always felt like they were a waste (no offense to you). i don't ever remember receiving one i really liked or that i was impressed by. so i figure in the welcome bags they'd get a ton of goodies they'd find useful and the ladies will most likely reuse the bags. I do like your idea of the sea shells, starfish and lanterns tho. I'm planning on having sea shells & starfish with either vases filled with water and floating flowers or lanterns. Can't wait to hear what you think!

Hi, just confirmed a date for 04/2013 at this resort. The coordinator is a little hard to get in touch with. I had to end up calling her. I also tried cc'ing this address on the emails to the coordinator to see if i get a quicker response [email protected]. My concerns for this location is the wedding decore. Yes, i know it's a destination wedding, but i'd still like the decor to be a bit more up to date or chic. I do like the fact that it's on a secluded island. This way the guests get to experience something different outside of the gigantic resorts in Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. Can anyone share their own wedding/reception pictures from this hotel? I was also considering Majestic Elegance. Their packages are more expensive tho.

I was also considering this place. I just saw it as I happened to go to the RIU site. The hotel is gorgeous! i'm just a bit nervous about prices for my guests. I priced a trip for next year and per Expedia a flight & hotel package is reasonable, BUT prices are marked as a grand opening special price. Seems regular prices shoot up twice that! i guess we'll have to wait and see, but i'd also liek to know any feedback on it.
