Rachel, that is awesome!!!!! Thanks so much girls!!! It looks like the problem is solved - well, sort of. Come to find out, my friend did end up calling other girls and TRYING to scare them! (what kind of friend is that!?) anyways, I did what we talked about above, and just acted cool like it wasn't a big deal and then my friends called me and said they didn't want to upset my during my "birthday week" because there was nothing to stress about. They said they all thought this other "friend" was off her rocker and they are still going - she didn't even phase them! So, just goes to show me that I didn't give my friends enough credit. Everything will be fine and if my "friend" doesn't come, I'm over it. She will just miss out on all the fun the rest of us will have together!

Honestly, not sure if it will help at this point (I think her parents freaked her out too much beyond repair), but how do I ask her to please keep her thoughts to herself and not scare others? this is a touchy one...not sure how to ask? or just see if other girls ask me? I feel the more I say, the more it looks like I'm trying to defend something (that doesn't need defending...)you know what I mean? I feel if I just stay cool about it, it will show everyone that there is nothing to worry about!

Hey girls, I know there was some discussion on this, but I need specific PV info on it! so I was just starting to relax and get excited that all my friends were booked! And then I get a phone call..... My friend called me just today all freaking out because her parents said she was stupid for going to Mexico at a time like this "with all the violence." etc etc. Now she said even if she went, she would have an anxiety attack because she wouldn't be able relax. Her mom told her that people are going into resorts and killing people etc. Now, I'm afraid my friend is not only going to cancel her trip (oh well), but scare other people to cancelling!!!!!! (my biggest worry...) Let me start off by saying, I posted an article on my wedding website about "don't worry about the violence" but I need concrete stuff here! I'm sure resorts/vendors on here don't want to lose business and say anything negative, but this is important! Any detail from past brides/recent visitors/people who live down there (Mishka...?) I just need some concrete info to pass on to my friends to put them at ease before this gets out of hand. I know there have been other posts but I didn't see anything in the PV section...thank everyone! I hope this helps my friends because I just went from super excited to depressed

I'm not sure what to tell you about the $ your parents gave you...financially, if they are ok with you keeping it, then I would prob just keep it. Maybe if you can tell they really need it, just give a portion back? I don't know, I think all the money situations are just very specific to the situation. I know it is for me. I'm watching my girlfriend who is getting married in Sept, getting angry that her wedding budget is only 60K, I'm like, are you kidding?!

So excited! I went looking at antique stores with my mom and FMIL and we found an old sconce for $28 that had crystals hanging down. We are taking apart the crystals and rewiring them on a long bendable wire. I'm going to have small white rose bouquet at centerpiece in vase and then these crystals coming out of the bouquet dripping down in an arch. (with a silver table runner) I wish I had a picture, but it's simple enough to explain I could take a pic of the crystals I guess....

ok girls....I think my FI's parents are booking their trip today! finally! They were worrying me a bit, because I know they can wait til the last minute, sooooooo..... I'm leaving home today for a week (for work), so hopefully, I get a phone call today letting me know they are all set! I feel bad for my FI, all the guests that have booked so far, are from my side of the family/friends. ;(
