Jillian Harris is the new Bachelorette!!
J&MWedding replied to BachataBride's topic in Celebrity Gossip!
I need to ask my friend! The one I mentioned earlier - she has worked on the show the past 4 or more seasons. She lives in the LA area. I told her I was going to post info and she said she wouldn't get in trouble by ABC or anything (as far as the confid agreement), but I know she doesn't know what happens to them after the show, but on the set Jillian doesn't have ANYONE to talk to (obviously) so Jillian would typically chat with the only girls on set (my friend) so she found out all kinds of "dirt" on it. I'll come back with some more info! -

Yep! I'm sure I'll be anxious to see the photos afterwards and share them with all of you!! I seriously can't wait for her photos because I think she just does an amazing job! She is different and a little artsy which is what I like - but it looks like she sort of does a little bit of everything! I can't remember but I thought in her contract somewhere it said she takes over 4 weeks to get them back to you. -
Concerns with Bringing Rings to Wedding?
J&MWedding replied to faithers81's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I thought about this as well and we were debating whether to bring them, but... We decided we wanted our real rings in our weddings photo - that was really the deciding the factor & like Kate said, they have safes in the rooms so you can always lock it up in there if you are going on an excursion. I was going to have my wedding band and ring sautered (spell correctly?) together, but I figure keep them separate so that if you want to just wear your wedding band, you can wear it by itself. -
Great review Desiree! I saw your dress before in a thread and I loved it and I loved in these pics as well! I can't wait to see more pics! So glad everything went well for you!! I actually wanted to go to Riviera Maya for our honeymoon week, but we decided on somewhere else instead - but someday I do want to go to Cozumel!!! I heard it's fantastic!

Have you exercised today?

So, I just got my tag stickers from Sticker Doodles on Etsy and these ladies are amazing!!! Susan and Ashley are so nice and they can create whatever you want! I ordered sheets of stickers from them because they were so reasonably priced and the shipping was only $2.50 I think. I believe a sheet of 20 stickers was like $6 or so. I plan on ordering more things from them such as a bar menu, napkin rings, and CD holders maybe. I plan on using these stickers for our maraca favors and on our OOT bags - either for the tags, or to decorate those plain white CD holders. StickerDoodles on Etsy - Customized Stickers, Labels, and Tags 4 Every Occasion If you ever wonder whether they can make it, just ask! They are so nice! (I always feel like an advertisement when I do these, but I take customer service seriously and when I receive excellent customer service, I want everyone to know....) Thanks for letting me share!

Hey girls! Rebeca just emailed me back and I asked her what a bonfire for the rehearsal night would be - I told her no private meal/drink setting - (I figure that's when they charge per head - for wait staff). She said for the bonfire, mats, marshmellows, it would be $250, which I think is reasonable. My FI doesn't understand that and thinks it's still expensive considering where we live, we can go make a bonfire on the beach for basically free anytime we want.

Thanks girls for all the compliments! It's always nice to hear. I actually just booked my first alteration appointment for Sept 9th!!! This lady that lives here is the best (she has been around for decades and has photos of her with celebrities etc) so when I got her pricing, I thought it was going to be outrageous, but for the hem, taking the dress in, fixing a few other things, and steam cleaning it, she said it would be around $225-$250 - which I think is good.

Yeah!!!!!!! She emailed me a bunch of new photos a week ago or so. If anyone wants to see them PM me your email and I'll forward them to you! And!!!......I don't know if some of your (who have been on this thread longer) remember, but I was only booking Paulina originally for 3 hours - (because of budget) but now I think I'm booking her for 6! (I'm just assuming she will let me add on hours when I send in the balance of the money...as long as I pay in full) -
So exciting! Congrats! You have so much info on this forum, you will have no problem planning! I would just start doing massive searches because I know there is tons of info out there on your location!

I just love adding the quotes in it because I know people will read them and laugh.

I was using another thread to talk about Blurb with other brides, but I thought I would post here so more could find and see. blurb.com What I did: I used a wrapped cover and put our monogram on it On the left pages I put a quote of some kind in the upper left corner and then underneath lines for guests to sign On the right pages I put a photo of PV on each page with a header "puerto Vallarta photos" I had to use Dreamstime.com website to purchase the PV photos (since I've never been there) but it was pretty inexpensive. For those not familiar, this was my first time using Blurb and it came pretty much exactly what I expected. I think next time I would do a few things differently, like maybe add more pages, have a thicker book. I only had about 20 pages or less and the book is thin. You can download any photos you want (but make sure you have the legal rights to use it) and you can design anything! We wanted more like a coffee table book with PV photos in it, but I liked this better because I was able to add personal touches with the quotes etc "If your husband wants to go fishing, let him. It just means you have more time for shopping." and "I love being married. It's so great to find that one person you want to annoy the rest of your life." and "a good marriage is at least 80 percent good luck in finding the right person at the right time. The rest is trust." quotes like that. (that gives me an idea...I wonder if there is some sort of quote thread....?) Anyways, here are pics - not sure how they will turn out My colors are ivory/white/grey/silver sort of so the pages are sort of lavender grey which matches perfectly. It probably took my about 4 hours to make this but that included figuring out how to the buy the PV photos. Cover: First page: Right side of pages Left side of pages Up close pic of quotes

December 2009 Brides!
J&MWedding replied to *Nadine*'s topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I know, it's actually going to be HARD to decide what to wear each day because all the outfits are going to be cute!!! I've never had that problem before I guess! I've bought bathing suit coverups at Target and a long maxi dress (which normally I don't look good in, but one did!) and then a few dresses here and there at Ross & Marshall's and actually found a really cute one at Kmart in the smallest town ever where I was visiting for work - so random. -
Those look so nice and perfect! It makes my have to rethink the real vs. silk.....?
