We were kind of hoping to just do it now and get it out of the way, even though our wedding isn't until July...does anyone know if these documents expire or are only good for a certain period of time?? Also, how do you file your marriage license after you get back? Has anyone done this yet? I know many of you have gotten legally married in the US first, but Matt and I really want to do the legal in Mexico deal. Eeps! are u doing a legal ceremony or a catholic ceremony? i am wondering how i could get away with getting married in a catholic ceremony and have that be legal in US. =( i really dont want to do the legal thing then have teh ceremony. i'd rather have the priest pronounce us man and wife like teh traditional way...

i heard Belize is amazing! I've been reading several articles in my bridal magazines about Belize lately. They said it's the more affordable version of Tahiti! They even have the over the water bungalows but way cheaper than those in French Polynesia. You and your hubby wll have a blast!

Thanks!!! How did you end up deciding which dress to wear for which occassion? did you wear 1 for the ceremony and the other for reception?

i'm all about the veil! i think the bird cage veil is classic and a must! the only thing about them is that they work sooo much better indoors. bird cage veils have a tendency to stick to your face (because of the lipstick) when its windy. they would make killer photos, though! i say go for it and have a back-up veil just in case the makeup does go all over your face. sometimes i think just because it's a DW some brides just shy away with the veil. i think they are such integral part of a wedding and they are what makes a white dress, BRIDAL. IMHO. everyone has a different taste and i understand that. this is just my opinion.

Hi Nylalany! We will be staying in Tahiti-main island for a couple nights when we arrive in the FP then staying the rest of the time in Bora Bora. My FI is one of those people who just wants to stay at 1 place for the duration of the vacation. we are planning on making our honeymoon a very relaxing vacation. we just want alone time which is why we are sooo looking forward to the OWBs. We just want to stay in and spend time with each other. we are planning a couple days where we do excursions to explore the island. we travel often and do a lot of excursions, so we don't see the need to do everything in FP. Plus, that will give us a reason to come back next time! We have a LOT of hours accrued for vacation so we're pretty comfortable taking a month of. plus, i get a week of paid leave each calendar year so that helps a lot too! my boss actually told me that i should have my honeymoon right after my DW. i was planning on July due to work reasons, but the boss said i don't need to put work before my own wedding! he actually suggested taking 6 weeks off work! he said personal life comes first! hahah wow huh? you're so lucky to have like 3 vacations in 1 year! what a colorful passport u must have! seriously though, money is money--- that could be earned back. memories and time together is soooo PRICELESS. would u rather be in debt for a few montsh from vacations or spend your life wondering "what if?" enjoy your traveling time as much as possible! everyone i talked to said to travel as maaaany times together cause kids will seriously slow your travel plans---even if u dont think they will! -- my 2 cents

Hi Ladies, More update on my wedding planning... I decided to take Boudoir Pics for my FI. =) I did a loooottt of research and looked at so many BD photographers' styles. I know i really want a timeless, classy, and elegant look. I don't want a cheesy, erotic, and skanky pics. I wanted something natural, teaser-like, classy, and cute. I've seen some that makes me cringe! Lolo's Boudoir features amazing pics that take u back in the old times when nudity and posing nude is an art form... like the Rennaissance times. I live in the San Francisco are and I found a BD photographer to takes pics just as how I want them to look. I had my consultation with her earlier today and I am sooo pumped! I cannot wait for my BD pics! I am in love with teh artsy boudoir instead of the erotic-hooker-overly posed pics. I decided to do a bedroom look with classic lingerie, and an outdoor scene with trees and bushes around me wearing nothing but just a sheet of blanket or an unzipped dress. I may even do a semi-nude outdoors if I get into it! I just want to share my excitement with all of you =) Here is the info on my BD photographer. Lolo's Boudoir: - Lolo's Boudoir - i know each girl has a different taste and I am just sharing my taste in BD pics. =)

"When you book in Tahiti, I would not stay at the Intercontinental Moorea, try the Pearl. Saylor and I went to InterC there, and ours was nicer... more quaint - and we did a private garden bungalow (we had our own plunge pool - private... very sexy). Overwater bungalows aren't as private, but a must in Bora Bora. There are a few NICE resorts to consider in Bora Bora. Of the two InterC's here, Thalasso is way nicer, and it is much newer, plus the spa is AMAZING and there is a dive outfitters here. You get to visit both as there is a boat that goes between the two resorts. Don't stay at Le Meridian. It's next door to us, and doesn't seem as nice? If you do want to do Starwood points, there is a St. Regis - looks super nice, but was closed during our stay for a "Hollywood movie"... so we never got to see it, though we wanted to go to a sushi restaurant there. There is also the Four Seasons - brand new... that's where Saylor wants to stay for our second trip (haha)... I'm kinda serious... Honestly let me know if that irks you - it's completely possible to not even run into us.... but, it would be sooo much fun!" As you can see they loved it so much, they may join us on our honeymoon. We are so okay with that. Hope this feedback helps. We will be going there May 24- June 4 YEah thank you thank you!!! this helps me sooo much. we want to stay at the IC Thalasso but we were also wondering about Le Meridien! We're excited about the brand new 4 seasons too! I agree with your friend that staying at the OWB is a must! Each time I see Bora Bora i see OWBs! =)

We're taking a month off work for our wedding and honeymoon. We originally planned on getting married in April and then honeymon in July, but we really want the "honeymoon" feel by going right after the wedding =) travel as much as possible before kids! it seems so expensive to travel again after a destination wedding, but once you're at your destination you'll see that it's worth it!

I used WPD for our STDs and we are happy with the services. the colors and prints are really accurate to the image online. my favorite part is how they send you a proof via online before printing. they also correct or suggests changes to your card which is very good when your wording and format is not the most accurate. their suggestions is to IMPROVE your cards. the service is super fast! i ordered my STDs and i got the proof within 2 days. I received the cards the day after i finalized the proof! suuuper fast!!! price is great as well. the cards are pretty standard and not the most fancy, but it's good enough for the non-picky brides. highly recommended =)

wow, thank you all ladies! you guys have been very helpful! my goal is to have a princessy dramatic effect on my TTD =). i just hope i don't loose by balance when i'm submerged in the water with all the tulle! well, i guess that would also make the TTD pictorial fun right? gotta love those unexpected random moments =) u know, a lot of brides shy away with princessy tulle dresses cause they're having a destination wedding. i believe that a bride should wear whatever she wants REGARDLESS of where she is having her wedding, beachside countryside, or wherever =) hooray for choices!
