Hi Jennifer! I got engaged in August too and began planning my Destination Wedding in mid-September and early-October. i feel so behind on planning too! we chose Moon Palace in Cancun because of the Catholic Wedding package. they have a chapel and a catholic priest onsite! the priest also performs the wedding in English. Having a catholic wedidng was the most important thing for me and the deal maker in choosing Moon Palace. My best advice is for you to see your local church and begin your marriage orientation classes already. those tend to take a while. just stay on top of it and make an appointment to see your priest ASAP.

i don't know much about Beach Palace but it belongs to the same chain called Palace Resorts. A lot of brides are getting married in Moon Palace (me included) and I think they're wedding packages are pretty much the same. Their website is really helpful. For resort info, try Tripadvisor!

aww Casey, they are pretty! I'm considering Stuart Weitzman too! My first choice is Jimmy Choo or Manolo Blahnik, but we'll have to see how the budget is later. Stuart Weitzman is the more realistic choice for me. i love the bow on the peep-toe pump! very romantic for your romantic day. =)

our photographer is AMAZING!!! we have so many pictures to choose from because he took so many wonderful shots! we feel so lucky that he photographed us.

it's amazing how many times i check this thread to see who else is getting married the same day as me. so far i've been in touch with one, hi Andi! =)

gosh, this is a hard one. i suggest looking into making a pros and cons chart for each resorts and do a price comparison. i would get really nervous about the price difference especially since excellence is more. i'm a proponent of the "it's our wedding, do what you want" idea, but think of your guests at the same time. just be prepared to come up with the best reasons for resort switch so you won't get negative feedback. good luck with this and tell us which resort you end up going with! =)

welcome to the forum! i'm glad to hear you liked Moon Palace because that's where I'm getting married in April 09. FI and I went to Punta Cana in September and we loved it. I'm sure the Moon Palace there will be grand and fab. happy planning! =)
